I entered the home remodeling field in 2015 and instantly fell in love with it. I transitioned from Houston to Austin in 2018 to set up a satellite office for my then-employer. Since then, Austin has had a profound impact on my life and is now my home. I met my wife here in 2019, and we celebrated the arrival of our first daughter at the close of 2023. We call south Austin home and like to enjoy the outdoors whenever it’s comfortable. My father, Kenneth L. Pearson, started the roofing business, then called ""Pearson Roofing and Siding Co.,"" in Danville, Illinois, during the late 1950s. He honed his skills while serving in the U.S. Navy's Sea Bees. With relentless effort, he created a successful company that ensured a good living for us all.

In 1982, I earned my B.A. in Philosophy from Southern Illinois University and set out to carve my own path. Armed with a hundred bucks and a one-way bus ticket, I headed to Austin, Texas.

As fate would have it, my dad moved to Austin a few years later. This turned out to be a fortunate development for me. After much encouragement, he eventually convinced me to join him in business. And that’s how our story began.
