In the late 1950s, my father, Kenneth L. Pearson, founded the roofing company originally named ""Pearson Roofing and Siding Co."" in Danville, Illinois. He honed his skills while serving in the U.S. Navy's Sea Bees. With relentless effort, he created a successful company that ensured a good living for us all.

After graduating from Southern Illinois University in 1982 with a B.A. in Philosophy, I decided to pursue my own path. Armed with a hundred bucks and a one-way bus ticket, I headed to Austin, Texas.

A few years later, fate brought my dad to Austin as well. This proved to be a fortunate turn of events for me. After much encouragement, he eventually convinced me to join him in business. The rest, as they say, is history.
