My father, Kenneth L. Pearson, started the roofing business, then called ""Pearson Roofing and Siding Co.,"" in Danville, Illinois, during the late 1950s. He honed his skills while serving in the U.S. Navy's Sea Bees. With relentless effort, he created a successful company that ensured a good living for us all.

After graduating from Southern Illinois University in 1982 with a B.A. in Philosophy, I decided to pursue my own path. I ventured to Austin, Texas, with only a hundred dollars and a one-way bus ticket.

A twist of fate led my dad to Austin a few years later. It became a fortunate circumstance for me. After some persuasion, he finally got me to partner with him in the business. The rest is history.
