I spent time with a seasoned, smart roofer in Houston. Ellis Clepper, owner of Tex Flex Roofing, guided me for four years. I was eager to start my own roofing repair and replacement company. With his blessing, I embarked on my own venture. We remain good friends to this day. Soon, TCS had 15 full-time employees and a robust six-figure monthly revenue. We took on roofing jobs for restaurants and apartment complexes in Texas and Louisiana. To make a long story short, my wife passed away unexpectedly at 29 in July 2005. I didn’t see that coming and was not ready for it. In 2007, I moved back to my hometown of Lubbock and started to get back on my feet. I’m in a good place now.
In 2009, we ventured into tree removal and trimming to complement our roofing services. I find it manageable to oversee two smaller businesses. We recognize our limitations and work within that scope. I love Lubbock and its community. I am eager for the opportunities that are on the horizon. Thank you, True Fullingim.
