My father, Kenneth L. Pearson, started the roofing business, then called ""Pearson Roofing and Siding Co.,"" in Danville, Illinois, during the late 1950s. He gained valuable skills while serving in the Sea Bees of the U.S. Navy. Through years of hard work and dedication, he built a successful company that provided for our family.

After graduating from Southern Illinois University in 1982 with a B.A. in Philosophy, I decided to pursue my own path. I ventured to Austin, Texas, with only a hundred dollars and a one-way bus ticket.

As fate would have it, my dad moved to Austin a few years later. This turned out to be a fortunate development for me. With persistent encouragement, he eventually persuaded me to go into business with him. The rest, as they say, is history.
