My roofing journey began in 1978 when I was hired by Dan Long Construction to install shake roofs as a high school student. I continued working with Danny until I enlisted in the US Army Airborne.
After my service in the Army in 1982, I returned to Hawaii and worked on numerous shake roofing projects in Waipio Gentry. In 1984, I returned to California and received my Roofing Contractor's license.
After coming back to Hawaii in 1995, I supervised for several leading roofing companies on Oahu before getting my Hawaii Roofing License. We have maintained a flawless record with no complaints in 37 years of roofing.
I started working in roofing in 1978 in Newport Beach, CA. Following my service with the US 82nd Airborne Infantry, I came back to Hawaii in 1983 and was employed at Gentry Homes, focusing on shake roofs and various island projects.
I returned to California in 1985 and started Oceanview Roofing Co. in Newport Beach. After thriving in California, I was drawn back to the islands and returned to Kailua in 1995. I have called Kailua home for almost 19 years and raised my family here.
This year marks my 37th year in the roofing industry. I plan to continue roofing because I am passionate about my job! Pete.
