My roofing journey began in 1978 when I was hired by Dan Long Construction to install shake roofs as a high school student. I continued working with Danny until I enlisted in the US Army Airborne.
After my service in the Army in 1982, I returned to Hawaii and worked on numerous shake roofing projects in Waipio Gentry. I went back to California in 1984 and obtained my Roofing Contractor's license.
After coming back to Hawaii in 1995, I supervised for several leading roofing companies on Oahu before obtaining my Hawaii Roofing License. In all my 37 years in roofing, we have not had a single complaint.
I started working in roofing in 1978 in Newport Beach, CA. After serving with the US 82nd Airborne Infantry, I returned to Hawaii in 1983 and worked at Gentry Homes on shake roofs and other local projects.
In 1985, I returned to California and established Oceanview Roofing Co. in Newport Beach. Following a successful stint in California, I felt the pull of the islands and came back to Kailua in 1995. I have called Kailua home for almost 19 years and raised my family here.
I am proud to mark my 37th year in the roofing field this year. I plan to continue roofing because I am passionate about my job! The owner of Oceanview Roofing.
