I started my roofing career in 1978 at Dan Long Construction, where I put on shake roofs while still in high school. I continued working with Danny until I enlisted in the US Army Airborne.
After my service in the Army in 1982, I returned to Hawaii and worked on numerous shake roofing projects in Waipio Gentry. I returned to California in 1984 and earned my Roofing Contractor's license.
Upon my return to Hawaii in 1995, I oversaw work for some of the best roofing companies on Oahu before obtaining my Hawaii Roofing License. In all my 37 years in roofing, we have not had a single complaint.
My roofing career kicked off in 1978 in Newport Beach, California. After serving with the US 82nd Airborne Infantry, I returned to Hawaii in 1983 and worked at Gentry Homes on shake roofs and other local projects.
In 1985, I returned to California and established Oceanview Roofing Co. in Newport Beach. After a successful period in California, the islands called me back, and I returned to Kailua in 1995. I have called Kailua home for almost 19 years and raised my family here.
This year, I celebrate 37 years in the roofing business. I don’t intend to retire from roofing, as I love what I do! The owner of Oceanview Roofing.
