Dustin Tyra went to Lakeside High School and graduated in 2004, playing baseball at the University of South Carolina Aiken. He earned a degree in Business Marketing and teamed up with David Noyce. They were both left-handed players, which is where the name Southpaw originated. He wed his wife, Chelsea Tyra, who is a graduate of Evans High School and earned Georgia Southern University. They had their first son, Palmer Tyra, in 2015, and their second son, Wilkes Tyra, in 2018. He lives in Augusta, GA, and looks forward to building many bonds in the CSRA.
