At just 14, Mitch Willis entered the construction field, taking on roles as a carpenter and laborer during his high school years. While in college, he worked weekends for a local construction company and graduated with a degree in industrial systems technology at 21. He then started working as an Engineering Technician in the Facilities Engineering Department at the Albany Marine Corps Base.

While working at the marine base, Mitch took on contracting work on the side and established MVW Roofing in 2011. Eleven years later, he changed his role at the base to a firefighter, giving him additional time to concentrate on his business.

Eight months later, Mitch found out he needed to medically retire as a firefighter because he required a pacemaker. This situation provided him with additional time to devote to his business, and he obtained a state residential general contractor's license at 29, then a light commercial state license three years after that.

As MVW Roofing's owner, Mitch is in charge of managing employees, overseeing projects, and leading job site meetings. Mitch enjoys cultivating relationships with his customers and establishing a strong reputation for his business. Mitch is enthusiastic about the construction business and committed to supporting homeowners!

In his free time, Mitch enjoys golfing, fishing, and participating in activities with his wife and three children. He dedicates 60% of his free time to family activities and the other 40% to home projects for his wife.
