Mitch Willis began his journey in construction at the age of 14, working as a carpenter and laborer throughout high school. While in college, he worked weekends for a local construction company and graduated with a degree in industrial systems technology at 21. Afterward, he embarked on a career as an Engineering Technician in the Facilities Engineering Department at the Albany Marine Corps Base.

During his time at the marine base, Mitch also worked as a contractor on the side and launched MVW Roofing in 2011. After 11 years, he transitioned from his position at the base to become a firefighter, allowing him more time to focus on his business.

Eight months later, Mitch discovered he needed to medically retire as a firefighter due to the necessity of a pacemaker. This situation provided him with additional time to devote to his business, and he obtained a state residential general contractor's license at 29, then a light commercial state license three years after that.

As MVW Roofing's owner, Mitch is in charge of managing employees, overseeing projects, and leading job site meetings.
