Our founder, Ken Reed, boasts over 35 years in the construction field. Before settling in Florida, he worked as a roofing contractor in California and Illinois. In 2004, when hurricanes struck Florida, Ken traveled across the state to repair the destruction left in their wake. This journey enhanced his understanding of the demand for superior roofing.

He kicked off his career as a diligent contractor in the western suburbs of Illinois. Eighteen years and six kids later, he and his wife, who have been together for 35 years, opted for semi-retirement. When he reached Florida, fellow contractors suggested he take on a role as a business consultant.

Not content with retirement, he and his family launched R & K Roofing in northeast Florida. Ken's dad and all five of his sons have played a role in the family business.
