Eager to broaden his skills, Matt took a position leading a crew at Nu Shake Roofing. Following that, he concentrated on metal roofing at Cal Pac Metal Roofing Company. He later worked with Cal Neva, a company focused on metal roofing.

Matt's desire to grow led him to the Sierra Nevada mountains, where he oversaw crews for Carter Roofing, Robinson Roofing, and Matteson Roofing. In 2008, he fulfilled his dream by founding Warren Roofing. Warren Roofing is now recognized as a member of the GAF Master Elite Presidents Club.
