Scott's curiosity about mechanics began in his childhood. Scott often took his dad's tools to repair bikes, performed well with household fixes, and shone in woodshop. Scott found his way into the construction industry when he started working. Scott's Construction Services has been a staple in the Coachella Valley since 1988. While on the roof of a client (Kmart center), he realized that over 100,000 sq. ft. of roofing was close to its life limit. He explored options for restoring and maintaining roofs instead of opting for traditional replacements. This led to the founding of California Cool Roof Coatings. During the initial year, he hired a roofer for small repairs and roll coating. In year two, he rented spray equipment and started performing his own roof repairs.
