Originally from Northern California, Nick Hernandez started his roofing career in 1977 when he joined Pioneer Roofing in his hometown of Ukiah, CA. He spent 3.5 years there before relocating to Alaska. He spent ten years at Rain Proof Roofing in Alaska, perfecting his craft. Starting as a roofer (4 yrs.) and advancing to lead foreman (6 yrs.), he managed major state and government projects. Following his time at Rain Proof, he joined Industrial Roofing Inc. (IRI) for 21 years. His journey began as the main foreman (4 yrs.), then as a Project Manager (5 yrs.), followed by an Estimator for residential and small commercial projects (3 yrs.), and concluded as a Senior Estimator and Silent Partner (9 yrs.). At IRI, Nick consistently managed an annual $7 million in awarded projects. At the time of his departure, he had successfully estimated more than $13 million in work. Since then, Nick has continued to excel in the roofing industry.
