Paul and his team were an absolute pleasure to have working on our roof. Clean, respectful and professional. I couldn't speak more highly of our experience! Paul was always kind, quick to respond and never hesitated to get back to me about questions I had. We are so happy with our new roof!

We were so happy with our roof from Yoshida Roofing Company! The whole team was so easy to communicate with, they have great customer service. They quoted us a fair price and the process went super smoothly. The new roof looks great. I would definitely recommend them and overall just feel grateful that our friend was able to connect us with this trustworthy company after having bad experiences with other companies.

I'm just getting around to this review. My roof was close to 30 years old so I reached out to Paul in 2022 via his website and he got right back to me and we scheduled an appointment for him to come and check out my roof. Paul was very nice, informative and answered all my questions and his workers did a great job. Would definitely recommend Paul and his crew.

I realized a year later that a part of my roof wasn't replaced. It wasn't formally part of the roof. Instead it was the top of a small storage unit for my water heater, and it had the original shingles to match the roof. It wasn't their fault and I didn't notice it until recently. I contacted Paul and he replied quickly. He sent a guy over and they replaced it free of charge. Great customer service IMO!

We requested to get a quote online to replace the roof for residential home in Rancho Palos Verdes (owners live in AZ) and received confirmation via email for a 12:30 PM appointment on 08/31/2023. We arrived at the property at 12:20 PM and then received a text message from Paul at 12:35 PM that read, sorry my truck is in at the mechanic today. I am not able to come. We texted back to confirm when he can get here by other means but no response. We waited about 30 minutes, texted him again and asked if he was going to reschedule our appointment by text after his truck was repaired or should I go online again? No response. On Friday, 09/01/2023, I texted him again to ask, if he was going to respond to any of my text messages? No response as of 09/04/2023. Not very professional and poor customer service, no effort to use alternative transportation to fulfill commitment and no further communication via text or email.

Similar to few other reviews, Paul ghosted me.
On June 10, he came to my apartment building in Torrance, he walked the roof and we discussed some options/details about the job...all in an effort to fine tune the bid. Paul said a bid would be sent by the end of the week.
Never received the bid. Texted twice in the preceding weeks to the xxxx1973 number asking for status....nothing.
In my book, when a business doesn't answer the phones, time to move on.

We were charged $100 for an in-house leak assessment with no follow-up in spite of the worsening leak. I reluctantly paid the fee in spite of my home warranty stating roofers do not charge for an estimate. I followed up asking if he'd like to bid on the project and received no response. Other roofers since have not charged for an estimate. It is also with reluctance I leave this review, but it is my experience.

After the relentless rounds of heavy rain recently, my family and I decided it was time to change our old tile roof. Big project / long overdue.
After getting a few quotes from a handful of local roofing companies, we decided on Yoshida Roofing. They have a great reputation and have done a few houses directly accross from us.
The entire experiece from beginning to end was great!
I reached out to Paul ( the owner of the company) to inquire about a free estimate. He expressed to me that his immediate schedule was booked but he could meet me a few days later at around noon. He ended up carving out some time and came over earlier! We are off the a great start.
The entire project took 4 and a half days
Day 1: the crew of 3 workers Omri ( onsite boss), Angel, and Daniel arrived early ( 6:45 am) I was told that they would be onsite at 7 am. They spent the day removing the old tile roofing and desposing it in their dump truck. They layed down a tarp in the driveway to help keep the place as clean as possible.
They worked till roughly 4-5 pm ( every day) and also cleaned up the entire area before leaving for the day.
Paul visited the site to assess the wood damage situation and talked with me regarding his suggestion/ and to get my input.
Side note: Porter potty was delievered for the workers to use, so you don't need to worry about the workers asking to use your restroom.
Day 2: More tile removal/ wood damage removal/ replacement with new clean wood and prep for the waterproof tarp paper ( not sure what it's called)
Day 3: Paul came to check on the progress of the project and took the time to talk and explain the work that was being done.
The crew finished the wood replacement process.
Day 4: New water proof tarp paper was installed along with the beginning installation of the new shingles.
Day 5: Half day. They finished the installation of shingles and cleaned up any final detail work ( repainted the vents on the top of the roof and the new metal sheet that surrounded the chimney so that it matched the brown accents of my home). Omri went to double check each seam and put waterproof caulking to ensure the longevity of the wood
They made sure to clean up the entire perimeter of my home as well as the side of my neighbors yard!!! My neighbor was outside watching the work be done so Angel took the opportunity to ask him if he could go into their backyard to clean up the debris that has fallen into their yard during the project.
Talk about going the extra mile.
100% will be recommending them to anyone who needs a roof replacement.

Yoshida Roofing was replacing a roof in our neighborhood so I walked over and asked for an estimate on our roof. Paul Yoshida was not on site, but returned my call and set up an appointment the next day. He arrive on time and gave me a written estimate that evening by email. We decided to use his company after other companies kind of flaked on us. His crew arrived on time and finished in less the the estimated time. His crew was very efficient and cleaned up their work area nightly. The roof looks beautiful and I really like the low profile vents that they installed. I highly recommend Yoshida Roofing.

In 2018, LA had an unusually rainy winter. I knew that our roof was far beyond its life, but like everyone else, I didn't take any action until it leaked ;-) I'm glad I hired Yoshida Roofing Co. Here are the things I like about them.
Courtesy services
They put tarps over the leaking area the next day I agreed to hire them. They were so busy during the rainy season, so there was 3 weeks waiting. It was a great relief that the tarps prevented further leaks while waiting. I think other roofers offer tarps, too, but it's worth mentioning.
Cleanliness
On the first day, before removing the old roof, they put away movable stuff to make a work area, put tarps on the ground, covered objects and plants with construction film. They kept cleaning the site and adjacent neighbors throughout the day. I had worried about debris falling on neighbors but that was unnecessary. The team did a pretty good job.
On time and on schedule
Paul estimated 3 days, and indeed it finished on the 3rd day, 4PM. It may not seem like a big deal, but what amazed me was that the team worked as planned and efficiently. Roofing takes multiple steps, and some of which involve external parties such as hauling, new material delivery, and the city inspection. As soon as the hauling truck left the driveway, the big rig with a belt conveyor carrying the new material arrived. They wasted NO time during the 3 days. The team showed up at 7AM sharp, had a morning briefing, and started working until 4PM non-stop. Everybody seemed to know what they had to do. It was such a refreshing experience after having dealt with contractors in LA -- you know what I mean.
Workmanship
Most importantly the workmanship is superb. I see all the shingles and edges are consistently aligned. All the rotten boards were replaced, and a broken rafter was repaired. I'm completely happy with the new roof.
Price
The estimated cost was 30% less than what Home Depot quoted. If you are considering big names like Home Depot, it really isn't necessary. Big names typically offer a longer warranty on materials, which is almost pointless because patching doesn't require a lot of material. The biggest part of the cost is labor. Both big names and Yoshi offer the same warranty on labor.
It's been 3 years since then. Every time it rains, my wife and I talk about how much we like the roof, and how great the team was.
