I had a roof leak in a valley between the garage and house wall. I contacted Yorkshire Roofing for a quote and scheduled a time for the repair. The area that needed repair was in a difficult location and I was concerned the repair was going to be expensive. Turns out the repair cost was very reasonable. They took their time and did an good job. I was pleased with the quality of their work.

Don't bother calling for a repair. I tried today. They will tell you they are too busy for you. They don't bother to recommend a business partner who might be able to help. Seems like too much of a bother to help people. They only handle repairs for past clients and installs. I will continue referring my client repairs and installs somewhere where they aren't too busy for me and my clients.

I had a roof put on by these people in 1997---complete disaster---ended up having 4 leaks in my roof when it rained 3 weeks after they completed their work. It was hell getting them to admit to their failures---Stay away from these people

I had my roof redone about 10 years ago with Yorkshire. They did a timely and good job. After several years however, the roof started leaking in one spot. After several calls, they did send out Lyle S to check it out. Since it was raining at the time and the leak was in full flow, he was able to take pictures and give me a time and materials quote. Sadly, after many calls, I can't get Yorkshire to call back to schedule the repair, so my roof sits covered with a tarp and sandbags. It is great to get the roof installed promptly, but if you can't get repairs done that is a problem. I won't be using Yorkshire in the future.

Yorkshire is currently doing a roofing job for our small condo association. After we called them several times, we finally got a start date at the outside of their projected start date possibilities. After doing one of five buildings, they announced they were over booked and put our job off for six weeks. This puts them in violation of our contract. This firm cannot be trusted to do what they say.

Roofing company that was prompt, fair and reasonable! Called when roof was leaking and they sent someone to do an immediate temporary repair. Gave me a fair estimate for permanent repair so I scheduled an appointment. They were on time and finished the work promptly! So appreciate their professionalism.

I can't recommend these guys enough. I initially had a few roofers provide estimates to replace my entire roof and brought in Yorkshire as they also did my father's roof. After 13 years, his roof STILL looks brand new. While Yorkshire's bid was a little above the others, their walkthrough, presentation, and explanations were far more thorough than anybody else. With the constant rains we have been getting these past few months they managed to squeeze my project in to the 2-day reprieve that we just had. It took their team 2 full days to replace my roof as there was a good bit of dryrot/water damage to the base plywood as well as a good amount of dryrot to the wood surrounding the chimney. The finished roof looks great and I'm glad they were able to complete this right before the incoming rain storm. Thanks Yorkshire!

Having our second job done in our townhouse complex. They are terrific. Could not be more professional, good at communicating, thoughtful, nice and fast. Very pleased and would highly recommend!

Yorkshire Roofing redid our roof and gutters last month, as well as installing a Solatube in our kitchen. Overall, we are content with the quality of their work. They were fast, finishing ahead of schedule, and the new roof looks great; their prices were also in line with quotes we'd received from other companies. The one area where we could recommend improvement is with communication/organization in the main office -- whenever we had a question, it seemed as if we had to call/email several times before we could get a hold of the right person to answer it for us (and it took a very long time to schedule the final inspection when the roof work was done). We would still recommend them to friends because their work is competent and professional.

Yorkshire Roofing is here in our condo complex re-doing the roofs on our entire complex right now. They were chosen by the HOA, obviously placing the lowest bid. They are probably four days away from being done and have been here a over a week. I understand that things run behind schedule, that this process would involve noise, mess, and had prepared for that. However, what I was NOT prepared for the was the incredible carelessness and disregard and sheer lack of common sense by the numerous workers that are here, without adequate supervision. A previous letter from the condo complex notified us of what to expect, and we were definitely supposed to be able to get in and out of our garages and be able to drive out of the complex easily. First, they repeatedly keep placing their ladder right in front of our garage despite being told I would need to get my car out quickly at times. They also have parked a large truck straight in front of our garage (I just found it there again this morning when I need to leave) and when asked to move it, they resist, clearly thinking it is not their problem. Two days ago they had the roadway blocked with a truck when I was trying to get to work, and it took 10 minutes to get someone to move it- then they were annoyed at the request. Though I do understand the challenges of having to have a lot of trucks and equipment in a tight space, making the residents inconvenienced beyond the noise and mess with basic courtesies disregarded as well as property damage, no matter how small, is my complaint.

Three days ago a worker was out on our back patio, clawing off a piece of rotted wood and I noticed my hummingbird feeder was not there. (We were not told we needed to remove such items- it was not near the roof or siding.) When I walked out and started looking for it, I could not find it until I saw the broken pieces stuffed behind a bush (the worker responsible was right there) and broken glass left in place where I could have walked on it! When I questioned him, he did not speak English, so had to get someone else to report it to. It was appalling how the responses from all workers were a lack of concern, no problem, until the next day I was able to find the actual ""boss"" Kenny, who did bring me a new feeder the next day with an apology. I also reported to him the torn up posts we had used for trim along our front walk and walkway lights were also ripped up, with a worker saying they needed to get the ladder there with no apology or attempt to put things back the way they were. It was easy to place the ladder so t was not necessary to have damaged our property. Kenny did see to it that they were all set back in place, but they are not secure as they were. He seems to be the only person amongst all these workers with any sense, and he is not able to be everywhere, with many condos being worked on at once. Lastly (but this isn't over yet!) we were told prior that the workers would be removing all debris and mess, etc. each day. On a daily basis there are water bottles, trash, and pieces of debris left behind bushes, etc. that are outside of what might be expected in this kind of a job.

Luckily I have been home a lot as I work different hours, as the kind of recklessness going on here is unacceptable, and I find myself feeling nervous at what will happen next. While Kenny is the only ""management"" person I have seen and he seems caring, there appears to be no cohesion between management and the workers, and no accountability or basic understanding of how to treat owner's property and space. I certainly am concerned as to the quality of work being done, and am glad we are not having any extra work such as having skylights put in, etc. Having to be on guard about the workers seeming to have a lack of regard for other people's property and space is poor business, and I could never recommend Yorkshire Roofing, nor would I choose them for any project I had a choice about.
