My family & I moved from So Cal & bought an 8-yrs old home in Fairview in Summer/22, which, on the surface, looked great, but was extremely poorly maintained, requiring an almost endless little repairs/corrections. As an architect, with completed projects throughout the US, it's always easy getting big/expensive work done, w/ many choices of companies to choose from,...but...to try to find quality/experienced/reliable companies to even come out and actually follow-up & finish a number of little patch-n-repair work done is an uphill battle, especially in Far North Dallas, where too many subs had been spoiled by Quick-n-For-Looks-Only Developers. Steele Downing of Wortham Bros Roofing (214-392-7937; [email protected]), however, was a breath of fresh air. Super honest/fair in his assessment of work/costs rqd, incredibly detailed in execution of work, knows his work & double-checks. Not only people were ALWAYS on time (unheard of in TX) & communicative (no surprises),...but....cleans up after themselves !! Also installed ventilation fans. Wow, he is the only roofer I would trust, for anyone desiring dependable work, beyond the typical, ""Far-North-Dallas Developer Special.""

We have had a long-time issue with rodents chewing at our eaves and soffit, so much so that they had been using it as a freeway in and out of our attic. We called Ben Wortham before the weekend and on Tuesday their man was here to assess and measure.

First thing this morning, Wednesday, they were on the job. They recommended Hardie Board since rodents don't like it. They had it installed and painted. Finished!

We had the house redone with Hardie Board 2 years ago...not certain why those guys didn't do this, but for a small price, the right folks fixed it.

If you have needs, these are your guys. Give Ben a call. He is awesome!

Wortham Bros roofing company has stood me up 3 times and I still have not had my roof inspected. I have just scheduled the inspection for the 4th time. As you can imagine, I am disappointed. I was recommended to use them from my home builder. I would personally not recommend them.

Wortham bros installed the roof on my Brohn home. From original build, I have had leak after leak with no permanent resolution ever provided. From a procedural perspective, I submit tickets through Brohn, Wortham Bros reps come out and walk the roof, and some time later they either come back out for a repair or try to explain why the issue is not covered. Well, knowing that malfeasance was afoot, I had the home inspected prior to the one year builder warranty expiring. Property Doctors conducted that inspection and they were great - in the report they cited multiple issues with the roof so I provided the report to Brohn and out came WB. Some hammering and stapling later and they depart. Well, fast forward a year and new leaks have developed except now I am having to hassle with the ""out of warranty"" pitch-and-putt from both WB and the builder. I provide evidence and seek third party opinions from other local professionals to corroborate my claims and again they are made to come out and do some more stapling and hammering as it will. Finally we arrive at this month, 2020, and new leak. Only this time I have had solar installed on the roof so obviously the solar install botched the roof and there is no conversation to be had about this. Another local roofer comes out and finds corroded decking staples as the root issue behind this most recent leak. Basically, in summary, these guys did a poor job to put it nicely, have zero accountability, and try to slide out of any repair necessary. Would never consider doing business with them again.

Asked them to come do a roof inspection and scheduled/confirmed a date via phone call. Did not show up that day and no follow-up. Called them back a week later they said they would look into it and I would hear back from someone. 10 days later and still haven't heard back. Not a reliable company - should have had the decency to cancel the scheduled appointment so I could've found another company and not wasted my time.

My husband and I cannot say enough about how much we have enjoyed working with Wortham Brothers and Chris Dudley on our roofing, gutter, and garage door replacement work after the October 20, 2019 tornado. This company's upper management and sales representatives are honest, professional, and experts in their field. They answer questions and are respectful of us. Chris checked in on our project several times each day. Not one day passed without Chris speaking with us in person about the work progress and the next steps.

The gentlemen who performed the onsite work are courteous, kind, and very capable.

The quality of the company's work is wonderful. Our property was cleaned up every single day. EXCEEDED OUR EXPECTATIONS. Wortham will be the roofiing company we recommend from now on.

My home builder used this company for the roof. We had issues from before the home was even finished with having severe leaks in the roof that luckily were caught due to heavy rain and repaired before we closed. 2 years after the closing on the home we finally got more rain after a long term drought. The roof began to leak again- this time around the fireplace. Further investigation showed that there was no flashing present around large amounts of the exterior of the chimney where only shingles were present at the roof/chimney joint. After an inspection we also found that the shingles were overall placed in a lazy and improper manner. Stay far away from this company!
