Winter roofing was great from the referral to completion of the project. We had a small leak in our garage and had some other small issues with the top of our roof on house. Winter roofing completed the project quickly and we are very pleased with the outcome. Our only issue... very small issue was that they only accepted cash/check and we waited for the bill to be mailed to us.

I had someone come out and give me an estimate for roof repairs on my rental home. The man who came out was very knowledgeable and pleasant. When he finished, he said give him a day or two for the estimate. Sounded good to me. A week went by and nothing. So I called the office and they said they would contact the man who came out and make sure the estimate was emailed to me. Great. Another 4-5 days went by and nothing from anyone and I called the office again, and the lady said that they had tried emailing me the estimate but it didn't go through. So, I told them that I'd email the office a ""test"" email, so they would have the correct email. Great she said. The next day I received an email from the man who came out stating that he was out in the field and he'd email me the estimate when he came back in. A couple more days went by, I emailed both the office and the man who came out that I was still waiting for the estimate. The next day, I received an email from the man who came out and he said he had been sick and that they were swamped and he said he told the office to tell me to find someone else because they were too swamped to help me. REALLY, is that the way to run a business. I understand being busy considering all the rains we've had; and I was told by other roofers that they were just too busy and not taking any more calls. I can respect that. I think a simple phone call from the office at the beginning of this fiasco to me, and I wouldn't be writing this review.

If I could rate this company a zero I would. I had an 11am appointment for an estimator to come to my house today. I called them at 11:19 and asked when the estimator would arrive. The person I spoke to said he was an estimator and that the office had gone out of town and are not answering and would I like I to reschedule. I said that was really poor business practices and that I would not reschedule. He hung up on me. Unprofessional and completely unacceptable service.

Winter Roofing replaced the torch-down flat roof with GAF Everguard Extreme TPO and our mansard terracotta tiles with a high end GAF designer shingle. They also re-insulated our attic, added gutters, repaired a bunch of old rotted out boards on the roof, and added solar attic vents. They also worked hand in hand with our solar installer to get the solar stanchion feet all sealed up. All in all, the process was pretty smooth. Josh did the initial bid work for us and was very fair with his pricing. He was also very patient with us as we waded through all our options. Javier and his crew did the work. All in all, we are happy with the finished product. Thank you, Winter Roofing!

We got 5 quotes when we were looking to replace our roof, and Winter Roofing was by far the cheapest, they had good reviews from the people who referred them to us, so we went with them. Unfortunately, we got what we paid for. Here is the list of things they did:
When doing the demo we had requested them to tarp the garage so we didn't have to clean after: the demo crew showed up and we had to stop them to ask them for help doing it ourselves: they left the garage a mess, and we had to clean it up after, which took days.
Also while doing the demo: they didn't cover our A/C units on the side of the house. We also had to clean those, after we realized they didn't do that.
When they installed our chimney cap a screw dropped down the chimney. They asked us if we found it in the fire place, which we didn't. They said they had a spare and installed it. One week later, when it was windy, we heard a huge bang: our new chimney cap was on the side of our house because they never actually installed it. It was a huge ordeal getting a new one installed after the fact.
During cleanup, I expect that there will be nails in the yard...however, they didn't even bring a magnet to help us get the nails out of the yard. If we hadn't had one at our house and asked them to sweep the yard (which they did a TERRIBLE job doing), they would have left and never cleaned up. In addition to the hundreds of nails, they also left around a hundred cigarette butts, metal gutter scraps, and scraps of roofing material all over the yard.
Finally, when we tried to pay them, they billed the wrong vendor. When they asked us to pay the same amount again, I said not until I get a refund. They threatened to put a notice with the credit bureau if I didn't pay, even though they had made the mistake. I had to threaten to sue them before they agreed to wait until I received my refund from their error for me to pay them.

It was without a doubt the worst experience we have ever had with anybody we were paying for a service, and as I said above we got what we paid for.

I called to get an estimate for our roof over a month ago, an appointment was made, they came out albeit a little later than they said and told us what was wrong and they would be sending an email with our written estimate, it's been 2 weeks and I never heard back from them. I realize it's not a huge job but word of mouth goes a long way.

It's been a couple of years now since Winter Roofing re-roofed my house. Just want to echo all the other reviews. They do a really good job and Tom, who comes out to inspect and delivers the bid is really helpful. They had to scrape both a shake and underneath a shingle roof off my house before installing the new composite roof. Don't hesitate if you need a new roof. Great work and a good price.

I was very pleased with Winter Roofing and wholeheartedly recommend them. Not only were they considerably less expensive than the other companies I had bid the job, they were wonderful to work with. My roof was so old there were spots where the shingles had blown off. I was concerned there would be added charges for possible rot but that was not the case. I had to wait a couple of weeks for the jobs that were ahead of me but it was so worth the wait and the roof looks amazing!!

Came out to the house and promised a quote in no more two days. No quote yet received. No contact. Poor business practices.
This is discourteous to the home owner.
