I was deep in the tense negotiations while trying to buy a home. The seller had offered me a difficult choice: Stick with the offer I made or give them $20k more but have the seller replace the hail damaged roof. (It would be cost effective for them since their insurance would cover part of the cost)

The problem was, I had no idea if this was a good deal for the home I was buying.

White Star Roofing offered me great service without even knowing if I would be a buyer. They took down the address of the home and quickly gave me rought cost estimates for different shingle quality levels that they could put on the house, and even pointed out the grades that would be excluded by the neighborhood HOA. And they did it all in 15 minutes.

Carlos's answers let me quickly run the numbers to figure out which of the two options made more financial sense.

We had water seeping into an exterior wall following a heavy wind/rain event in our area in January. I found White Star via Yelp and Carlos responded to my request within the hour. Ricky was able to show up that afternoon and found several flaws with the workmanship of our builder. I appreciate that he took several pictures and took the time to explain each repair. Repairs were completed same day, and our home has been leak free thus far! I will absolutely have them to continue to inspect our roof in the future.

We just purchase a new house and Carlos and team were amazing. The roof was in desperate need of a tune up and Carlos came in the same week to fix all of our issues and then some. We were having difficulty finding someone to just replace a few shingles -- not the entire roof. Either roofers we're not interested (said we needed a néw roof), or they were busy, etc. Even after contacting repairmen/handymen & getting referrals from neighbors & other sites. Finally one evening, I tried Yelp & found White Star Roofing - immediately I got a reply & spoke with Carlos the next morning. Sent him pic of our roof - he gave me a quote over the phone & he just finished! We could not be happier. Several others I contacted wanted to send someone to give us a quote & then they would give us a date - we don't have time for this, so Carlos & White Star Roofing have our business gaining forward (when we do replace our roof). He is great - very dependable, very responsive & very fair pricing.

Carlos stopped by to inspect for a leak. He was very thorough and professional. He made it clear that his repair may not be 100percent because leak is difficult to locate but he gave it his best effort. White Star is honest and professional. Will be using them in the future.

When I requested them to contact me, he responded in about 5 minutes, it was about 9:30pm when I first texted them. He came the next day, gave me a bid. We had rain forecast because of the tropical storm and hurricane about to make land fall. He cans as soon as it weather was clear. I was impressed.

He seems to be one of the best roofers I've had in our area. We have been here over 35 years and have dealt with several company's during that time. He is a man of his word and I appreciate that.

I used White Star Roofing to replace some damaged gutter and fascia board after a storm. Carlos came by very quickly and offered a fair price and seemed very knowledgeable. He and his team got to work right away and did an outstanding job and left the area very clean. He communicated promptly throughout the time and gave suggestions on how to care for the roof/gutters.
