As a salesperson myself, I always say it's not about the problems or delays, but how a company handles them. Did my re-roofing job go perfectly? No. Were there delays? Yes. But Westshore Roofing was responsive and communicated issues and updates in a timely manner. Is the finished product beautiful? Yes! My neighbors have even stopped by to comment on how nice our roof looks.

I was pleased with the work they did on my house. They installed a California cool roof system and it had made a difference with the rising energy costs. There was a slight snafuu during the installation of the roof but they remedied it right away and I hired them for the installation of the roof on another house. The sales staff was knowledgeable in the product and the tear off and installation staff were professional and not to noisey, which was appreciated by myself and my wife. The roof has been on for several month before I wrote this review, wanted to have some rain fall Ect before writing a review.

We reached out to four roofing companies to quote our re-roofing project. We compared them on professionalism, quote thoroughness, feeling of trust and integrity with the salesperson, and knowledge. Westshore ranked highest hands down. They were not the cheapest, nor were they the highest bid, but they were the best.

We felt so comfortable with Ben, and rather than try to upsell us as others did, he helped us figure out ways we could get the job done within our budget. The quote offered several options which was quite helpful in our choices. During our decision period, we had several questions and he responded immediately every time.

When it came time for the work, the crew was always on time and professional. They cleaned up and you could barely tell they were even here at the end of the day. We were glad to see that the crew was able to take several water breaks (in nearly 100-degree heat) and time off for lunch and they still finished the job ahead of schedule. It showed us that Westshore takes care of their crews.

I got my GAF Solar roof done through Westshore Roofing in partnership with GAF Energy after canceling Tesla Solar. Ben came to my place, set the expectations and showed off the example of how the new solar shingle looks like and the estimate cost. He was very accommodating, especially with us in our unique situation because we had stucco wall project work done simultaneously. The work includes roof demolition, adding additional plywood, tiger pay underlayment, installing a new gutter, and finally the solar roof. We are one of very few early adopters GAF Solar roof. The result looks stunning.

The owner provided a reply to the review and I have to set some things straight. This trim/flashing he says he absorbed the pricing for is his workers fault and he should indeed pay for it. When I was given the estimate I was told they would save it to be used again. Its metal. When they removed it, it was literally ripped off my roof thus destroying it. As they were clearly beginning to start applying the new tile I asked the ""foreman"" about it and he knew nothing about it or that it was to be saved. He knew nothing about it being replaced. When I told him that I was told they were to save is and use it again, he again said he knew nothing about it. The following day I walked out and he motioned to me and said he had spoken to his boss and that's when I was informed that they would indeed be replacing it cause they destroyed it and shouldn't have so that was how they were fixing their error.
When this paul guy says ""he called me with a daily update"" that isn't true. He never called me, not once. I on the other hand called them and after talking to receptionist or my alleged job foreman (I guess everyone is a foreman or project manager there cause I had one sitting behind a desk there and another here at my home) I usually ended up getting transferred to this paul guy, apparently the owner and rather sensitive male, and that is the only way I got an update. I called them and they never called me, not daily, not ever once the job started. As more and more $$$ was being added the the project I called multiple times for a bill or invoice and they always found ways to never supply it. I was promised that some ""person"" in accounting would email it to me, multiple times but that never happened. After a couple calls I finally got someone to send me something by email. His break in pricing for supplies are like multiple times more expensive than if I provided it myself so he is greatly exaggerating that he gave me a fair price in materials. The initial bid was good but what I had the deal with after was a horrible experience I would never wish on anyone, not even my worse enemy.

Re-roofing your home is a major project with a large price tag, so you want to be confident the people you've chosen to do the job are professional, dependable, and competent. We chose Westshore Roofing as our contractor, and we were not disappointed. They offered a range of solutions and explained the pros and cons of each option. They provided a reasonable estimate and stuck to it. Their workers were prompt, careful, and cleaned up the work site every day before leaving. The final result is a beautiful roof that increases the curb appeal of our home significantly. Westshore was always responsive to our questions during the project. Our sole complaint is extremely minor - it would have been preferable for Westshore to be more proactive in informing us of what to expect during the schedule; they were always responsive when we called them, but it would have been better if they contacted us instead of the other way around. Overall, I recommend Westshore Roofing highly.

Had them do a roof repair a few years ago. Recent storm and it leaked quite a bit in same spot. Called them to ask about coming out again and fixing my leak. Was told they would call back in a couple days to schedule. No call back. Called again after 2 weeks and spoke with them - they said again they would call back in a couple days to schedule. Same story, no call back. Seems their work and they ability to manage expectations and deliver on promised follow up are lacking.
