At first Roscoe suggested to replace our old wood shake roof with Boral Steel. But we wanted to have a shingle roof instead since we thought that a metal roof would be noisy when it rains. After we researched about the ventilation issues associated with shingles, we learned that a metal roof was indeed much better in terms of keeping the house well ventilated and reduce energy costs. We also learned from friends that Boral metal did not create noise concerns when it rains. Most importantly, Roscoe patiently explained all the technical details, inner workings of the metal roof and the installation, as well as why it was much better (not more expensive either) to go with metal. Throughout the re-roof planning and installation process, I liked to know how and why. Roscoe is more than willing to go the extra mile to explain things clearly and spend the time to keep me well informed. He even helped to reduce our two custom sized skylight replacement costs by a significant margin. Francisco, who installed the roof, skillfully performed the job like an talented artist. This was all done at a price that beat estimates by other popular roofing companies. Without a doubt, I highly recommend Western Roofing for any roofing related needs.

Roscoe Hurry (the only person I know whose name actually makes a sentence) did a superb job earlier this year on replacing a beat up old shake roof and laying down a Boral steel roof. Western did a great job showing me the different colors/styles of Boral roofing (used to be Metro Shake) by driving in front of me through various neighborhoods, and offered suggestions on what might look good for my place. With the high cost of lumber and inflation, it's actually cheaper to go with metal 50 year roof than a triple layer composite, for the given roof I had. Workmen came out a couple weeks later, got the roof on. Done. Had some termite damage that was replaced, luckily no dry rot. All fixed during roofing install.

Roscoe and Mike at Western Roofing Systems were great to work with. They back up their work and their roofing systems even 2 years after install. We had some roof eves that were rotting out, to no fault of the new Metal Roof, and they still came back out two year later and replaced the eves for us. I appreciate contractors that back up their work and are willing to repair what needed without any back and forth. All I had to do is ask and the eves were replaced a week later. We had a leaking roof and thought it was the skylight. We called and left a message, got a call back the next morning and a visit by noon. Ross told us it was the roof and not the skylight, let us know that it was most likely covered by our warranty and no charge. This was so helpful.

OMG--Mike and Roscoe not only gave us a VERY good bid, but from tear off to roofing and gutters, the speed and attention to detail were absolutely #1.
We are retired, so we could watch much of the work and the attention to detail and an overall professionalism was fantastic. As important is their team was clean, efficient, answered any questions we had, and we'll say it again, at a price that out-bid several others. Roscoe Hurry (yes, that is his real name...) managed the job from bid, to roofing material selection, to supervision, and even got up there and did some of the work himself, as did the owner Mike--all during Covid when staffing shrunk a bit. But NO worries, on time and on budget! And their attention to Covid protocols was splendid as well. USE THESE FOLKS, you will not be sorry.

Our house's wood shake roof was on its last leg, during the March storms I noticed it had shed a few wood tiles and realized it was time to get a new roof.
To complicate things, I had set my sights on a metal tile roof as they're essentially lifetime roofs with 50+ year warranties, unlike composite which lasts 15 to 20 years. So, a little more money up front but peace of mind for the rest of your life, and they look great. Plus, I also wanted a solar system and not all installers install on metal tile roofs.
I requested bids from a half dozen local businesses. Roscoe's bid was reasonable, but what made me decide to go with him was his professionalism and seriousness. He was always reachable by text or call, or would return a call within the hour.
Communication was awesome. I knew exactly what the payment schedule would be before we got started, there was a detailed plan and schedule of all the work, and everything happened spot on schedule, exceptional in these days of COVID.
And best of all, I'm thrilled with the result, and got compliments from all my neighbors.
I really don't have a single minor complaint. Everything went without a hitch and no surprises. Thanks again Roscoe for making this stressful process so easy and painless. Totally an A+ business in my book, and I will recommend to anyone who needs a serious reliable roofing company.

They installed a beautiful steel roof for us in early October 2019. Their price is very competitive. The project is very well organized.
