I recently used Wedge for a somewhat complex job. I was having solar panels installed concurrent with the new roof and I also added insulation after Wedge stripped off the old roof but before they put on the new surface. The job was scheduled a few weeks ago when thunderstorms appeared in Sonoma County, throwing a huge wrench in the works. FYI, Wedge wanted to delay the job to avoid any chance of my roof/house getting damaged but we came up with a plan that kept the house safe and dry and the project on schedule.

I do have two items for others to be aware of. We had a slight miscommunication about who would fix the dry rot and a couple other items. Make sure it's clear to everyone who is going to take care of those sorts of items. This wasn't their fault and had to do with trying to get three projects done at once. Also, when Tarry told me there was an additional charge to waterproof the solar panel mounts I was a bit taken aback. However, I was on the roof for much of the job and they really earned the extra money on those solar mounts. Their crew put a considerable amount of time and effort into the mounts so I understand why there's an additional charge.

I highly recommend Wedge and would not hesitate to call them again. Everyone on their crew was professional, thorough, polite, and they picked up every last bit of debris after the job. I wish I could say the same for the other two vendors.

Oct 9 Update. Sadly, their quality work was destroyed in the horrific fire today.

Determination and persistence in obtaining the highest quality result is something to which most businesses aspire but rarely provide. Wedge Roofing manages to achieve it through the almost super-human effort and the dedication of it's team. After considerable research, I decided I wanted to replace my aging redwood shake roof with stone-coated metal. Without wading into the pros and cons of that decision, I think everyone agrees that metal roofs are more complex and difficult to install than almost any alternative. Cutting, bending, aligning and piecing it all together with almost 10,000 screws is no easy task. After deciding on metal my biggest concern was finding a roofing contractor with the experience and commitment to meet what I thought and still think was a daunting project. I researched and interviewed many. From my first encounter to their last day on the job, Wedge inspired and ultimately earned my trust in their work, my confidence in their process and even my affection for their crew. A nicer, more considerate, more determined team is difficult for me to imagine. Two representatives of the manufacturer of the metal roofing (Gerard) visited the project and were effusive in their praise. While that must certainly have pleased Wedge I always felt like it was my expectations and views that were paramount. I could not be more pleased with the results. I suspect I will always look at that roof with a measure of gratitude for Wedge. If Gerard's stone-coated metal is even half as good as Wedge's installation of it, that should be a long time.

My new foam roof is great! I have an exposed beam ceiling with no insulation, and the foam roof has made a huge difference. It's been a month since installation and we've had both cold, foggy weather and a heat wave in Mill Valley. The house retained heat and wasn't drafty in the cold and was easily 5-10+ degrees cooler during the heat wave. Terry Odgers came out in February to bid on the project and was extremely informative of my choices regarding improvements to my gutter system and options for replacing a skylight. He was honest and weighed the pros and cons and never tried to over sell me.

The late rains this year caused scheduling to be delayed, communication was clear and professional. The guys that did the job were professional, clean, communicative and a pleasure to have around. I highly recommend Wedge Roofing.

Wedge just put a white foam roof on what was tar and gravel on our 1935 Spanish Bungalow.
They went out of their way to make sure we were happy with how it tied into the original old terra cotta tile in the front of the roof. They sourced old tiles to replace ones that were broken when they had to remove them from their cement to do the new part of the roof. They really tried hard to please us and they were successful! Plus the house is cool today and it's 100 outside!

So far so good. These guys came out quick to fix my leak. Then they gave me a reasonable quote for the repair work and are currently doing it. Gary and Denise have been great to work with.

They have since come out for a total repair of the roof. They came in a timely fashion, provided a good quote, and got the work done. It was a good experience.

In October 2016 I had Wedge replace my large roof that was in need, with a new lightweight genuine slate roof.

Wedge was chosen after interviewing several roofers, and it turned out to be a great choice!

This was a big project that took several months. They did an excellent job in every way.
The crew was so polite, hard working, and cleaned up completely every day. Their attention to
detail was great. Every single slate is fitted in perfectly, and all the trim looks great as well.

The Sales Manager that worked with me was also great, that is Tarry Winfrey. He was in regular communication about every detail as needed, and his taste in choosing colors and
material was valuable.

In summary, I highly recommend Wedge, and Tarry, and the entire crew. This was a great result and I'm really pleased with them. If you choose Wedge, I'm sure you will be pleased.
To make sure, ask for Tarry to bid your job and suggest materials.

If only all companies were run as professionally and did such good work. They came through for us big time when a tree hit my Mom's house during one of the big end of January storms, making 3 big holes in her roof. Branches in the living room, etc. From my first phone call at 5am, to their call yesterday to check-in and see how the roof patches were doing, they couldn't have been more kind, professional, and knowledgeable. Just what you want in a crisis, and in someone working on your home. My Mom's house has stayed dry through the rest of the storms, as we await insurance claims and contractor bids to fix her place. We will definitely use them again when it comes to replacing the roof. Thank you Wedge Roofing!

Tarry Winfrey and Wedge Roofing were wonderful to work with throughout the whole process of replacing our roof, from up front scheduling through final cleanup. We highly recommend them to anyone considering roof replacement.

We had Wedge Roofing come out to repair leaks in our roof. They sent 3 workers, who worked just under 6 hours to repair three leaks. Our charge was $2,800 - over $150 per hour for each worker. One full season later, the roof started to leak again in the SAME PLACE for two of the three leaks. They informed us the warranty was for just one year , and that we would need to pay again to have it repaired.

After posting this review, and speaking with the General Manager, a repair team was sent out to repair the leaks. I have upgraded my review from 1 star to 3.
