Chris Wilder did a great job on our single family flat roof. Three years later, during the January 2022 storms, we had a leak two stories below that I thought might be coming from the roof. Chris replied to my email within hours and made an appointment to come the next morning. He tested and found that the leak wasn't coming from the roof. To my grateful surprise, he spent another hour testing the other places the water could be entering. When he found an opening around an outlet on a deck that could be leaking into the wall and the floor below, he made a special trip, bought waterproof caulking to fix it, and came back to make that repair, unrelated to the roofing. So helpful and beyond the call of a contract, to an unhandy homeowner!

I join the many reviews below in highly recommending Weathermaster Roofing. Owner Chris Wilder, his son CJ, and team members Gabriel and Eddie did a great job reroofing my home. This project had many facets. First, a sloped roof, plus a roof over it, plus a flat roof in another area had to be torn off. Next, there was wood to repair and replace. Then, there was the installation of the new sloped roof and a new flat roof. Chris' team was respectful of my property, finished the job well ahead of schedule, and were professional and expert at what they did. My approximately 70 plants in the ground including many close to the house didn't lose a leaf. There was a thorough daily clean-up. Each team member had a great attitude while doing this job in perhaps the hottest week of the year. They also did extras on their own initiative at no charge. Further, the original bid was the final charge-there were no additional charges.
Ten years ago Chris, CJ and team did a great job on my relative's home. This helped me decide to choose Weathermaster out of the 7! highly rated and impressive roofers I talked to. I am very glad I selected Weathermaster. Thank you, Chris and Team.

Do you know those rare times when you are looking for a service and the 1st one you talk with leaves you with a really high comfort level so you don't feel the need to interview anyone else for the project? That's what I got when Chris stopped by to see what my needs were. From the start it was obvious this guy is genuine, is a hands on leader of his team and my gut told me he was going to do a great job. My gut was right! They were outstanding.
You can tell he is passionate about his profession and has so much experience doing things the right way and even fixing other people's mistakes. His knowledge and leadership resulted in the outstanding completion of our reroofing effort. He and his team fixed past roofing mistakes, improved on old solutions that others probably thought were good enough and basically did things the way he would for a very picky, close family member.
When I asked if he knew of a good insulation company that would work well on his schedule to improve our attic, he said he insulates too. When he saw some dry rot on the facia boards, he said he also did carpentry. The team was able to mitigate risks to the project schedule because all portions were done by Chris and his team.
I'm extremely happy with the skills, professionalism and workmanship that the Weathermaster team brought to my home.

Very nice and polite, as well as professional. They came in several vehicles, climbed up and tidied up the roof and did an inspection, fixed the loose tiles, replaced a broken skylight, and all was really professionally done. I have nothing but good things to say. They also know the guy who had my house built, who owned a large roofing company many years ago. All in all, I highly recommend Weathermaster Roofing!

Honestly, if I could put more stars I would. We had solar panels installed by a company that went out of business. A leak developed from our roof and Chris came out to take a look at it. The recommendation at the time was to work with the solar company to get it fixed. After quite some time, right before they were to inspect, they sold the lease to a new company. Long story short we were on our own. Chris came back out with a solar partner and fixed the leak. We got financing set up and a few months later we did the entire roof. It looks great and we are so happy. Quick project, we were done in a week. Solar panels back on, installed correctly, and we now have piece of mind that the roof works correctly. Chris and his team are great to work with and do great work. Thank you!!!

My wife and I were late into a Refi and the bank decided that we needed to get our roof inspected. We scrambled to find a roofer and got lucky when we called Chris. He came out on a Saturday to get our roof inspected so we could move on with our Refi and hit the closing deadline.

The main reason for the Refi was to have some extra money to get our roof replaced and a few other projects. It was clear that Chris was a master and we really appreciated that he wasn't trying to sell us in any way, just the facts from someone with experience, so refreshing. Once the Refi was complete, he started replacing our roof within weeks. Not only did Chris give us a reasonable estimate to replace our roof, he hit that estimate when the job was complete. This was a roof that was well overdue and we also wanted 3 skylights removed, so I was thinking we would run into some unforeseen issues. Nope, the master called it from the beginning. Done and done.

I was ready for some stressful days having to work from home while my roof was being replaced but Chris and crew were super respectful and kept a clean, organized work place. Noisy, but not one reason to stress with all that was going on, we were clearly in good hands.

Chris and his Weathermaster team did a quality job on my single-story lift and reset concrete tile roof (lift and move tile, strip old paper, reset nails into OSB, repaper with double ply 40lb SBS UDL, replace all flashings, adding ventilation, etc, and reset tile with proper headlap). His work was inspected and permitted by the City of Poway. His team was meticulous in quality, on-time, on-schedule, reliable in communication, and absolute experts of their craft. I am an engineer and expect everything to be done by the book and at the highest stds of quality, and Chris and Weathermaster didn't disappoint. I would highly endorse Chris and recommend his service (and in fact I already have...to a neighbor of mine).

I cannot speak highly enough of the great job Chris and his crew did when they replaced our entire roof. It was not the easiest replacement with lots of hips and ridges. The crew arrived at precisely the scheduled time. They were extremely careful about plants, gutters, and protected everything with plastic. Chris made meaningful recommendations regarding skylights and the roofing material. He is a good communicator and knows his stuff. The worksite was cleaned up at the end of every day. This is the company you want when it's time to replace your roof.
