This is unfortunate for me to go from 5 to 1-star but when I received a lien from the owner David 4 months later I had no choice. I hired CW roofing and David Wang to replace my roof, patio and side fence. Although the overall work was good and the permit was complete the work was unfinished. There are multiple white paint streaks along the side of the roof next to the fascia boards that his team replaced. Also the patio was left unpainted and unfinished.

When I reached out to him he said he would come back and complete it. Weeks turned to months. Eventually he said that he primed the back patio and that was the agreement. I think he was correct so I apologized. But what about all those white streaks? Surely no one wants the side of their roof looking like that. No response. Months past. Eventually, I filed for a return of funds for the remaining balance of his work and the credit card company awarded me my money back. I already paid him nearly 90% of his bill for his completed work but I felt for him to get the final payment he needs to finish the job. Frankly it would cost me about that amount to fix and repaint the side of the home that he messed up anyway.

After he realized that I filed for a refund and was awarded my money back he gets upset and sends me a lien? How about finish the work. Some roofers just want to get done and move on. I am not unreasonable. I am happy to pay the full amount but not for unfinished work and streaks of paint on the side. If you do a 90% job then you only should get paid 90%.
