This contractor lied and cheated his way through our re-model. He should not be allowed to take advantage of people any longer. We used Walter J. Miller for the re-modeling of our home when we flooded in 2016. At our initial meeting he assured all of our concerns and said we would be in our home within 2 months. Fast forward 11 months later and the re-model was still not complete. We had to let him go early because we were constantly being lied to and let down. The quality of the work done in our home is amateur, specifically the tile showers that were installed. The installed used black grout on white tile and left it on for HOURS. Our tile is still stained and our master shower is still not usable because he did not even water proof it. The drywall was finished so poorly, the floors are un-level, the doors are not adjusted correctly, the trim work is atrocious. He completely messed up our electrical wiring and we had to pay a professional to come out and re-do it all. The entire experience was incredibly frustrating. I work in construction and understand time delays or issues with subcontractors, but this was inexcusable and completely un-professional. There were other issues where we found an open can of beer hidden in our grill by one of his workers. Another time when we checked in on the tile layer and he was high. He was always making excuses on top of excuses and none of them were ever true. He wants to play the Christian man card, but he is a complete scam artist. We overpaid for work that a teenager could have done better. One of my biggest regrets is hiring him because he took advantage of us during an extremely vulnerable time. I hope someone sees this and it makes them change their mind about hiring him. I don't wish the experience we had on anyone. No one should have to endure the stress and frustration like we did ever again. I know that we were not the only ones, he did this to several other people and ended up getting fired from most of those jobs. This man is not reliable, trustworthy, or a true craftsman. Please, learn from my mistake and never hire him to lay a finger on your property. I just want my story to be public knowledge so that other homeowners know what they are getting.

we've ever hired!!!!!!! He did all of our rental property and our business. Jimmy helped us with everything. They were very helpful. I recommend this company for sure.

This company is very bad. That's an understatement!
My house got flooded in the last August flood in Baton Rouge. I hired Walter Miller (of Walter J Miller Construction) to rebuild our damaged house. He was supposed to finish the work in 10 weeks (by January second week, 2017). Even after 5 months, he had not finished the work! Only about a half of the work was completed (by April first week). He still needed to work on kitchen, bathrooms, carpet, doors, etc. He kept on promising that he would complete the work, but never kept his words. He left the work (in April first week) unfinished, messy, disorderly, and ugly. He is an incompetent, disrespectful, erratic, unreliable, and unprofessional person. Dealing with him was extremely stressful and frustrating. He did not perform the work proportional to the amount of money I had paid him. I felt he took the advantage of our situation (we, my wife and I, are senior citizens and we being out of town). He caused us terrible inconvenience, mental anguish, and agony. We felt victimized twice. Only God can forgive him what he did to us! STAY AWAY FROM THIS ""CONTRACTOR.""
