I did not end up using their services but the owner Jason spent time with me on a phone call and gave me some fantastic insight on what to look for when choosing a roofing contractor. He knows the local area roofing contractors really well, understands all of the various material options you can choose to do a roof replacement and his overall knowledge is awesome. Based on all that I don't think there is anyone better equipped help you with your roof and the reason is simple: All he does is repairs and inspections, that gives him the freedom to be totally transparent and honest because he is not trying to convince you/sell you a big job. You don't realize how important that is until you need someone to help you navigate a pretty mysterious part of your property.

Great communication. Arrived on time. Came out to inspect roof. Only does roof repairs. Jason explains in detail ( what I loved!) what is needing repairs and why. Great written explanation of what he found. Appreciated candid specific answers to my questions as we were concerned over a loose electrical conduit flashing. Ultimately, we are having to replace the roof as it is 25 plus years and we want to prevent any major disasters. Jason was worth the the inspection fee.

Jason did a great job. Was getting our house ready for sale and we had an issue. The same day Jason was able to come out, inspect and provide an estimate. We were able to get the work done fast and Jason followed up with the final invoice post the repairs. His work was great and you can tell he takes pride in what he does. He was also took care of some other small issues on the roof in addition to the patch work. Once complete, he followed up with pictures of the work done. Jason is a real pro!! I first met him at a social event some time ago and he was wearing a Walnut Creek Roofing hat. We talked briefly about his business and left it at that.
After our recent rains, I found a puddle of water on the floor of my garage. My first reaction was to call Walnut Creek Roofing. I left a message in the morning and within an hour Jason was on the phone saying he would be over that same afternoon.
Having just gone through several months of calls, no shows, and numerous follow ups to get my yard re sodded. I was pleasantly surprised at the prompt reply.
He arrived on time and within 5 minutes found the cause of the leak and told me the name of the roofing contractor that had installed my roof 27 years ago.
In a discussion with Jason, I found out that the only thing he does is repairs and inspections. Check out his website for further information about his background and his philosophy. Very impressive!

I met Jason while working on trees next door to where he was repairing a roof. He inspected our new roof that was installed by an unresponsive subcontractor who had not followed the manufacturer's recommendations. Jason is very knowledgeable and trustworthy. He is reliable and follows through. I highly recommend his services for roofing inspection and repair.

Jason came out and took a look at an area of my roof were I knew I had a leak. He did some calking and cleaned my roof and gutters, in total he was here for about an hour.
He did not solve the problem and charged me a little over $500. What he did tell me was that he felt the roof area in question did not have the correct slope, thus water was sitting on my roof too long thus possibly seeping in to my wall causing the damage.
After sitting on this information and some other things Jason said a couple days I decided that Jason was probably doing a lot a of talking and little work. So I called another company, they came out and found out that some step flashing was falling about 2"" short of where it should have ended. This was causing the leak.
I would consider other options before signing any contract with Walnut Creek Roofing.

We spoke with Jason over the phone. He was a very friendly guy and spent time to really listen to our roofing needs. He jumped onto google maps right away and started looking at our home for an initial impression. Our roof needed specialized work that Jason wasn't able to do however, he was able to refer us to someone that we were very happy with. We were grateful for his time and his detailed explanations of what we needed. We wouldn't mind going with him for other roofing needs in the future.

Jason did not actually do work on our roof, but after getting quotes from several other companies (for about the same amount, $1500), he was the first person to tell me point blank that the cost of repair probably wasn't worth it and we should save our money for the full replacement that was inevitable in the not-too-distant future. The roof isn't leaking (yet) but has some concerns that our home inspector flagged. Five stars for being very honest about the value of the repair and not just trying to make a buck. He also generously shared his time and expertise on the phone, and shared tips about how to extend the life of our aging roof. If you are are looking for an inspector during a real estate sale, I highly recommend Jason.
