I have known Leon and Darcee Grivel, owners of Vintage Reconstruction for several years. I have referred several people with Water Damage, Roof Damage and Fire Damage to Vintage. They have done great work for me and my referrals. Their staff is very nice and fixed everything down to the last detail. I highly recommend Vintage to anyone that has an emergency in their home.

Very nice people.
My sisters house was flooded from overflow toilet upstairs. Her home was ruined. It happened on a Friday later afternoon when everything of course is closed. After we luckily reached our agent he referred us to Vintage. Leon called right away and set us as ease. He came over immediately and assured us he would handle everything and it would be OK. Well after a period of time they handled everything as he said they would. After they completed the job of reconstruction of my sisters entire kitchen, living room and upstairs bathroom - it came out better than new! We couldn't have been more fortunate than to have Vintage Reconstruction to be our construction company. We would refer then to anyone!!

I had a water leak at in an attic above one of my bedrooms. After contacting my insurance company, I found out that my deductible was too high to cover needed work. Since Vintage was highly recommended by a colleague, I called them. Leon responded quickly, came over and gave me an estimate. His crew was able to start the next day. I was grateful that at the end of each day, the workers cleaned up whatever mess they made. They were always polite, and checked with me before starting work each day. If you want someone to do an awesome job, call Vintage. They will do everything they say they will do. Quality of the work is exceptional. When I remodeled a few years ago, I kept asking that contractor to come back and fix a few things, but this wasn't necessary with Vintage Reconstruction.

Very nice people who do good work, but their follow up is atrocious. They are kind and patient while they are doing your estimate, but it's essentially out of sight out of mind with them.

Their first estimate was almost $1000 over what the insurance company gave us for our damage, and they promised to speak with the insurance company because they felt that we were cheated by them. They assured us it was taken care of, and asked for half of the estimate to start work. I told them I'd be happy to, once they readjusted their estimate to fit what we had been given by insurance. They agreed.

They began work on a Monday, and then asked for the 50% on a Thursday. I told them I couldn't give them anything without the updated estimate.

The new estimate is $400 over what the insurance company gave us, but they don't seem too contrite about it. I'm happy with their actual work, and the people they sent to do the work, but very disappointed in being scammed out of a few hundred extra. I guess they killed our savings with kindness. :(

7/2007 - Edited to add that the shower corners have CRACKED. I'm not sure if I'm going to call these people back into my home to fix it, as I do NOT want the extra added headache of negotiating time and liability. Just wanted you all to know... the shower has indeed CRACKED!!!
