Yet again the WORST experience with this company. Our bathroom STILL isn't done and had to be deconstructed yet again, because deconstruction wasn't completed in the first place. So now before we experience below freezing temps for 3 days, we have giant holes in our walls! I am so fed up, and now we're being told 2 weeks for the glass to be fitted?

We had a very positive experience with Vidal Construction in Austin. Our house flooded during an ice storm and was subsequently totally gutted. Our main contact person, Joey, was very easy to work with, professional, and responsive to any questions or concerns we had along the way. This was our first ever insurance claim, so we had a million questions and concerns. Lissie, who works in the office, was so patient, professional, and responsive. Working with them made the overall experience so much better than it could have been!

Was put in touch with VC through our insurance company after trying to file a claim. The coordinator we are dealing with ghosted us. Upon reaching out to find out when they could start work she wrote ""did you still need assistance?"" They must be really busy. If you need help in this lifetime call someone else. The one upshot is that coming here showed me all the poor reviews VC has for the kind of repairs I need...

I can't say enough great things about Vidal Construction. Vidal Construction is a professional, communicative team that cared for us from the moment we reached out to them. Our roof was damaged in the last big storm of early winter 2023. The previous roof was only about five years old and did not last through the high winds we had, which were not bad to begin with. We had used a different company that we have since learned took many shortcuts, and that showed in their pricing.

Our contact, Joey Vidal, worked within our budget and with our insurance quote while providing us with high-quality products that we needed without giving us options that we didn't need. Once we agreed on the work, we were quickly added to their schedule, and the team arrived on the scheduled day. They spent a few hours on prep, removing gutters and shutters, then arrived the next day and began work. They stayed late and almost completed the job in one day, but needed to come back the next morning, completing the job in less than two days. The entire time, Joey kept us up to date via phone calls and text messages and provided drone pictures of the roof. Everyone we worked with was courteous and respectful of our time.

After the work was complete, Joey and his son returned to scout around the perimeter of the house to look for errant nails and leftover material that may have fallen and not been cleaned up. The final step was a complimentary pressure wash of our driveway. This was much appreciated since we are unable to do that right now due to water restrictions. Once the work was completed to our satisfaction, we were presented with the final bill, and Joey even stopped by to pick up the check so I didn't have to drive to the office or drop a large check in the mail.

We appreciated the fine work and excellent communication with the Vidals, and we plan to use them for some future construction projects.

Lazy, bossy, unorganized. I had a plumbing leak. After a month of another company dried out and removed damaged walls, they came in and did their worst. It may have been an insurance claim, but that does not justify the lousy service I got.
They had only one person at a time come in and do any one thing, while there was a crew of four that just sat around and did nothing. This guy did very little, and took his time doing it. They told me what color to paint my kitchen and cabinets, and did a lousy job doing it. They took six weeks for a job that could have been done in half the time.
Very pushy, argumentative, and rude.

i would give zero stars if i could. I worked with Vidal last summer. The project was supposed to take 6 weeks and took 12. The workers were nice but they were constantly lying about the reason behind delays, used unlicensed plumbers putting my home at risk, and ultimately the work is extremely subpar in quality. Less than 6 months after the work, multiple kitchen cabinets fall fallen off, paint is chipping, and they are very slow to answer questions despite warranty.

I would never, ever, ever use Budal Construction again even if i had a 90% discount.

I reached out to Vidal Construction to help my elderly neighbor in getting a new roof. Joey was our contact. He was awesome in every way, always making sure he communicated with the homeowner and myself to make sure there was no misunderstanding. She was on limited funds and needed more work. Joey went above and beyond making sure she was taken care of, and everything was completed in a professional and timely manner. The roof looks great! Thank you Vidal Construction.

Vidal was recommended to my wife and I by USAA after a plumbing leak. We needed to have new drywall put up in the kitchen and the ceiling. After the initial visit, it was a month before they came out to start the work. Upon arrival, there were 4 or 5 guys to show up, only for 1 of them to stick around and do the work. In the beginning we were told it would take two days. I believe the work was started on a Tuesday. After the second day, they kept adding a day to the work. That weekend, the project manager came to do a walk through. I pointed out some areas that needed more attention. He told me he'd communicate that with the guy doing the work. I showed him areas where you could see through the thin layer of paint they applied. He told me insurance allows them one coat of paint, but if we wanted another coat to let them know and they would come back out to apply another one. I also asked if there would be anyone else to come out and help with the job considering we were already at four days. He said nobody else would be coming, that the guy on the job could handle it. When I got home that next Monday, the guy had finished and left. I was not at all impressed with work he'd done. The Sheetrock that was installed in the ceiling was blotchy and sloppy where the wall and the ceiling met, and did not look like it was done by a professional. The cleanup was very minimal on their end, so I had to come home and wipe down everything in the kitchen every day until they were done. Also, there were cigarette butts left all over the yard. I told them I was ok to sign off on the job because I didn't want them to come back, I just wanted them out of there. I would highly recommend continuing to looking for another contractor besides Vidal.
