Ruben was born in Madrid, Spain, in 1972 to parents who escaped communist Cuba. They relocated to Tampa in 1980 to chase the American Dream. After completing his education at Tampa Catholic High School, Ruben enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1991. During his service, he was stationed in Alaska and traveled globally on various deployments.
Upon his Honorable discharge, he began a 17-year journey in the banking industry. He is involved with the Cuban Club as a board member and takes part in Krewe of Sant' Yago. He shares his home in the community with his wife and two children. In 2014, he founded Veterans National Property Services, where he serves as Principal and President, and is recognized as a Service Disabled, Veteran Owned, Small Business (SDOVSB).

Diana M.I would happily give Veterans National Property Services a 10 out of 10 for the job they did replacing my roof in August 2021. They kept me well informed along the way when there were delays and when they were coming to do the job. They were here early in the morning both days and worked long days to get the job done....the last day the workers were up on the roof finishing the job after dark because rain was predicted the next day! They cleaned up after themselves each day and arrived early the next day. The new roof is beautiful and I'm very pleased with the job they did. Their price was very fair and I feel like I got good value for my money. I highly recommend them to anyone needing a roofing job!
