Veterans Exteriors replaced the entire roof of my house in November, 2016. Just over a year ago, on February 21, 2018, I discovered a leak.
I immediately called DERRICK, owner of V. E., to report. No answer, so I left a message. Several more messages followed but NO REPLY!!! I contacted V. E.'s sales representative, Nick, who said he will contact Derrick. Still NO CALLBACK to date. I decided to send a certified mail, but my letter was returned, although somebody signed the return card. Now I'm at a dead end!!! I think it is time for me
to contact BBB and the Atty General's Office. Anybody's advise is welcomed.
Meantime, I have a bucket in my living room to catch water leak from the roof, just in case there is rain while I'm travelling, away from home.

Beware! Fraud! They did not replace my roof components and in less than a year I got roof leaks and water damage. I tried to get a hold of them and no one returned my call!

I've been trying to get the owner to fix my 74 year old mother's roof for the last year. I showed him a video of this horrible loud noise or roof makes when the wind blows. Said they would be back in a couple days going on 6 months and nothing. Will not return calls any calls. They sent out teenagers to fix our fence. It looks awful. Looks like I'll be filing complaint with state because they have a D- with BBB.

fraud company they dont put gutters up and refused to do work then not pay there bills

As of about a week ago, Veterans Exteriors has contacted me to offer to make things right. Nothing since. Still holding out hope. VE has been on every local news broadcast here in the DFW Metroplex for questionable practices. I see the need for a class action lawsuit. As for me, their customer service came to a screeching halt once I signed the ""contract"". The crew showed on the EXACT days I told VE NOT to show up. This instruction was written on the contract by the sales person. The crew spoke less than minimum English, they ran out of shingles and drip edge. They replaced one rain diverter in the wrong place (over a WINDOW instead of over the door) and completely left off the other rain diverter. When they attempted to fix the rain diverters, they STILL installed them wrong. All contact with the sales person or the company was totally ignored. The VE sales person was here when the Statefarm adjuster arrived. The VE sales person wanted me to LIE to the adjuster and tell him I had 30 YEAR shingles on my house. I refused to do so. The contract with VE showed they would install 30 year shingles. Their invoice showed they installed 20 year shingles. VE charged my insurance company for work THEY DID NOT DO. My home has ONE powered attic vent. They originally charged StateFarm to R&R ONE powered vent and TWO turbine vents. This was later changed to just TWO turbine vents. NO VENTS AT ALL WERE R&R'd! They charged to R&R flashing and DID NO SUCH THING. The sales person involved is no longer with VE. I'm holding out hope that VE does the right thing to make things right.

REVISED REVIEW!! We were TOTALLY freaked out!! BUT then, the day after all the drama, DERRICK the owner came out to the house and explained about the Roofing Supplier which, we were able verify. The material the supplier was selling, a specific shingle, was having issues and instead of the supplier handling his business with the manufacturer, he just kept selling the product. Clients who were getting it were not happy and refused payment - I personally wouldn't pay for defective material, so I completely understand. Derrick came up with a solution that worked for us as well as my mother in law... some of the money we were to pay Veterans Exteriors was sent to the supplier for the bad materials and to get a waiver of lien from the supplier. We are having my mother in law submit a claim with the manufacturer...The rest of the money will go to Derrick once work is completed here. So work continues and they are doing a great job!! The fence is beautiful, they power washed and re-stained it (it looks brand new!!) the roof looks amazing (they used a different manufacturer all together!) and they even repaired/replaced a broken gate and stained it as well! Once all the work is completed, I will update again. We are extremely please with the level of communication and professionalism that Derrick and his guys have shown with our situation. It is a sad reality that with all the scammers out there, our thoughts and actions of the first review of this company were so negative. Veterans Exteriors is proving to us that they are a company we can believe in! KUDOS!! Again, I will update once all the work is completed! (New gutters!)

They have done partial work on our home and now we can't get in touch with anyone. The office in Allen is nothing more than a call center. Run far far away!!!!

Several folks in my neighborhood used them this summer. They seemed courteous and professional and willing to do whatever it took to get my business. The second I wrote the first installment check everything changed. Constant delays and un-returned phone calls. No timelines or timeframes on when the work would be completed. After pestering them daily they finally came out and replaced the roof but it's been over 60 days and they still have not come back to finish the gutters, fence, patio or carport. I've left several messages for owner and he has yet to return my call.
