I wrestled with this out of loyalty but I HAVE to say it. I have been in residential real estate for 15 years and the biggest mistake I have made in that time was hiring Venture Capital Construction as Stephen Smith.
I hired him to do a remodel in April 2023. I said i wanted it done Memorial Day weekend 2023, no later than Fourth of July. Memorial day. Not finished. Fourth of July: not finished. Labor Day: not finished. Halloween: not finished. Thanksgiving: not finished. Christmas: not finished. I terminated the contract due to not completing on time. So far i have spent about 50% of the contract price to correct what he did wrong. He had the shower door short, so i measured it for a new fit. What did I find? The light switch INSIDE THE SHOWER!!
The quality of his work was so bad that the next contractor apologized to me for his (Smith's) low quality work.
I NEVER would have imagined that he would have treated my house nor me so poorly. I could have had the house demolished and rebuilt TWICE in the time he took on this project. He literally made my house LESS VALUABLE with the exceptionally shoddy work that he did. His information is not up to date, either; probably to avoid lawsuits.
This was my fourth project with him and i dare say he was not the best bid but i went with him because i thought i was familiar with the quality of work. I very sincerely regret hiring him. Gutters were done poorly, too. When i asked who did them, he did not respond which let me know he did piss-poor work on the exterior, too.
If you want to throw your money away and pay someone to damage your home instead of improve it, Stephen Smith doing business as Venture Capital Construction LLC is a very good way to do so.

Beware of doing business with Venture Capital Construction LLC based in Alpharetta, GA at your own risk! I had a contract to redo my deck with TREX and the terms of the contract written by Mr Steve Smith was to pay 1/2 of the cost before he started, 1/4 of the cost after he was half way finished, and then the final 1/4 of the cost after he finished. After providing half of the material and finishing half of the deck Mr Steve Smith never returned and has made himself unreachable after trying to contact him multiple times. I ended up having to buy the rest of the TREX material for the deck which is about the same amount of money that I would have had to pay him to finish the job plus I had to spend extra money to hire someone else to finish the job. The job was started in the end of October 2022 and I haven't been able to get him on the phone since then and this month is April 2023. This is my first time being scammed as a homeowner for repairs. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau which Mr Steve Smith hasn't responded to and I'm in the process of taking him to Small Claims Court. Very bad business and fraudulent business!
