His crew did a quick, professional job and were responsive to any requests we made. The clean up after the job was impressive. The whole job was a pleasant experience. I would certainly use them again and will recommend them to others.

I hired them in 2017 and a couple of years later got a leak by the chimney. They came out and did a repair. It continued to leak and I had to hire another company to fix it. Varni didn't do proper flashing around the chimney. Now I have a water stain on the ceiling I am trying to repair and painters apparently have a hard time getting it right.

While I didn't actually have occasion to use their roofing services, one of their trucks (with a giant VARNI ROOFING on the side with a trailer) practically ran me off the road and tailgated me for more than a mile. I would highly suggest you be very careful if you see one of their trucks on the road.

Horrible customer experience, buyer beware!!!! Do not use!! I wound never use the company. The owner literally gave me the f u sign because I was unhappy with a part of the job

In July 2016, we contracted Varni Roofing to put on a $22,000 roof, putting half down. They said because of huge storms, it might be 2 or 3 weeks before we might see them. After three weeks I called . . . I was 10th on their list. After another 3 weeks I called . . . I was 6th on their list. In October I called, and I was 10th on their list. That's when I realized they were just making numbers up.

I cancelled the deal. They have a 10% clause for cancelling deals, so that cost me $1,200, but I was happy to do it to see the back of them.

My building contractor says some companies will agree to a project they never intend to do for that cancellation fee. I don't know. I just know that I recommend people who need a roof anytime soon should stay away from them.

Signed a contract with a $1,500 deposit in August of 2015 for roughly 1000 square ft of roof. They said they were 3 weeks out because of hail storm. No problem. During that 3 weeks waiting period I added a small porch and window awnings and they came up $1000 on the original price. Perfect. Then they said it would be completed by the end of October. Then it was every week after that I would call and they would always say tomorrow. Finally in December or maybe January of 2017 they contracted another roofing company out of Seguin to do the job. That company left without doing any flashing saying Varni would come back for the flashing. Again I was promised tomorrow several more times for weeks. Today is February 8th and they said the last piece of flashing over the back porch would be installed today. We'll see...

I received the invoice for the balance due last week and because it took so long and so many broken promises I asked for 2 weeks to pay. This was to put it on the following months CC bill instead of this months. Only a convenience for me. They first said no, you need to pay now. I went to their office today to pay but they forgot the tablet they run CC's on so I would have to come back. I explained again I would like to pay on the 18th for my billing period and the owner Chris Varni said ""If that's what you want to do but when services are finished usually people pay immediately."" So, Ok with a guilt trip. This was not my point. The point was with such poor customer service for 5 1/2 months, what's 2 weeks? Bend a little to convenience the customer. That would have redeemed them in my eyes.

Bottom line. They have a no money back deposit of 50% and then they have you by the balls and if you're a one time customer or a small job, get ready for broken promises and a long wait. Get a completion date on the contract if you feel you want to use them.

We live in a house that was roofed by Varni roofing when it was built. The house is less that eight years old and we have had twelve roof leaks in the house. Varni will not accept calls from our builder. A reasonable person would think that when they botched a roofing job so badly, they would feel the responsibility of making it right. Obviously Varni Roofing feels no such responsibility.
