I've done business with Dave Whittaker in the past, quite some years ago. I had attempted to contact him a couple of years ago, with messages and no return calls and then just again.
After searching his icense, it shows it's expired.
Bottomline, I don't believe this business is obviously anywhere to be found.
Good luck as it's been nothing less more than a waste of time!

Several years ago I walked around my housing tract & knocked on doors of homes with really nice roofs. When I asked who had done their roofs, most said Dave Whitaker of Valencia Roofing. I hired Dave & he did a perfect job. Took only a weekend, including a small amount of painting where I can't reach, & he cleaned up everything before he left. (At the same time, my next door neighbor hired a different, cheaper roofer who took more than 2 weeks & my neighbor complained about his roofer A LOT!). I highly recommend Dave Whitaker!

You returned my call only once. & that was on March
13, 2020. You said you gonna drop by when the rain
stops but you never did. And when you saw my review you said you'll be in the area. It's been almost a month
& we still never hear from you.
I ask attaching pictures of some of the broken tiles that your supposed to replace . Remember when we hired you to do the job you said it's under warranty for a year. If the leak was fixed right, it should not be leaking.
So could you please drop by & check why it's still leaking & can you please change all the broken tiles. Hope to hear from you soon.

I had Valencia Roofing re-roof my house over the summer. I had 5 other companies out for quotes. Dave's was not the highest or lowest. I can't begin to express how happy I was working with Dave. He did what we agreed upon and a lot more. He was very responsive to my concerns and handled them all without issue. Since the roofing job we have had a few real good down pours in Saugus which is not that common around here and we experienced no leaks. If we had, I'm sure Dave would have quickly taken care of it because that's what his company is all about! He provides a great warranty which is transferable and a free 10 year inspection. Through the years I have had to deal with many contractors being that I've owned a few homes and Dave was a great contractor to deal with. There is always the customer you can not please for what ever reason so I'm sure he like most contractors get bad reviews from time to time, but I would recommend Dave to anybody looking for a stand up guy who works his butt off. Roofing is hard dirty back breaking work. Again, I am very happy with Dave's work, he worked hard, did a quality job, went above and beyond the agreed upon contract, and over all did an outstanding job. I highly recommend Dave and Valencia Roofing to anybody looking for a quality roofing job! Don't forget El Niño is coming, I'm protected are you!

Dave Whitaker, owner of Valencia Roofing did not pay our arbitration award like he said he would. His contractor's bond insurance paid us $4,400 to fix our roof leaks. If he does not pay them back by 1/6/16 his contractor's license will be suspended then revoked. Needless to say we are very sorry we used Valencia Roofing, contractor number 569978.

I am writing the review to warn others NOT to use this company as we had the misfortune of doing. This company is owned by a man(child) named Dave Whitaker. Although anxious to get your business as all contractors are, his true colors come out after you've committed to his company and paid your bill. A roofing job that should only take 3 days or so took much longer with countless delays and endless excuses. One of those delays was when one of his (...meth addled I suspect...) workers fell off my roof. He will very rarely return your calls even though his annoyingly dishonest phone message claims ""Leave a message and I will call you right back"". His word means nothing.

When we bought our new roof he told us that on the 10 year anniversary, he'd come out and inspect things to make sure there were no problems. It's an empty promise. Three to four months ago we started calling him to come out and inspect our roof. We left message after message. After countless calls, he, amazingly, called back only to make excuses why he couldn't do the promised inspection. He said he was too busy. He asked us to call back in a couple of months. We did. I've been calling him for 2-3 weeks now and evidently he's too busy to make a 1-2 minute return call to one of his customers.

Avoid Dave Whitaker like the plague. Mr. Whitaker is the poster child for disreputable contractors and his company personifies all that is wrong with so many contractors nowadays. They talk a good game until they get your money and then they disappear. His promises mean absolutely nothing. His word means absolutely nothing. He's completely devoid of honor, respect or integrity. Do yourself a favor and avoid the aggravation.
