Thus far we have had a really positive experience with US Green. I forget the name of the person we talked to on the phone when discussing solar options but she was super helpful and fun to talk to. If anything they made sure we didn't purchase too many panels for our own usage; it felt strange not being pushed into more and having a company ask real questions to determine what you need then not over-selling you...but I liked it!

Ajay has been super helpful also answering all of our questions and helping us get everything set up. The online dashboard is really cool, shows how much you bring in each day and what $ value it's worth which is pretty sweet.

All appointments were kept on time and they were flexible given my travel for work making appointment times more difficult to schedule. I'll update later on in 2017 once we have a better feel but thus far very happy!

I wanted to add that we used Ygrene to finance the program, a reasonable way to pay for solar if you don't have the cash out of pocket. Our electric bill is roughly $200 per month and that's with us being conservative with AC in the summer (would prefer to run it waaay more but so pricy). So for us we will recoup the cost in 7-8 years easily, then free electric for the life of panels (estimate 25-30 years)! Which is pretty crazy given that, barring some sudden change in how inflation works (haha), we'll be saving even more down the road. Even if we sell the house prior or shortly after paid off, that'll be a selling point for sure. The new homeowner gets free electric too for as long as they are there. Anyway, being financially minded myself I thought it would help some of you out there to see a few numbers associated with this. In my opinion, given all that I presented above, this is a no-brainer.

I initially checked reviews on Yelp for all the companies I was considering (looking at consensus while also reading the reviews with the understanding that it is hard to make everyone happy and not knowing the positive or negative motivation for those who are submitting the reviews). Then I also checked these companies on the Better Business Bureau web site to learn whether they had received complaints and if so how those complaints were resolved.

After my online research and my in-home meetings with four companies, I decided to contract with U.S. Green Energy Technologies. While definitely not the largest or oldest (most established) solar company in San Diego, I was impressed by the ""genuineness"" and energy exhibited by Alejandro and the diversification of the company. Alejandro is the owner of the company and not a salesman like the other representatives with whom I met. He made me feel valued and never rushed, giving me as much time as I requested whether in person, via emails, or over the phone to respond to all my numerous questions. When we met some of the representatives from other companies made me feel like they were in a hurry for me to make decision by letting me know that there were other scheduled appointments which highlighted that the compensation they received was based upon commissions.

U.S. Green was very easy and gracious to work with and they met all their promises including critical installation and inspection dates for my system with 16 solar panels. Deadlines were met in spite of the challenges associated with December rain by working longer days and weekends. Plus I received quick responses to my inquiries even after the installation was completed and final payment was submitted. They delivered and I highly recommend!!

This company hands down beat several quotes we had received for solar panels. They also worked with us to get an efficient pool pump and whole house fan which also reduced our overall usage so we wouldn't have to buy quite as many panels. We've almost had the solar for about a year now and our energy costs are averaging $50/mo as opposed to $500/mo.

We finally made the leap to get solar at our home and we are happy we did. We were referred to US Green Energy Technologies by very close friends who had a wonderful experience with this company. For us, word of mouth referrals are the best. A special acknowledgment to Ali Ibrahim who was our initial contact person. He met with us in our home and was very knowledge about the solar product and connected us via phone with a HERO program rep to answer our more detailed questions. Overall, the process was quick and efficient. We were kept informed throughout the entire process. We did experience a problem shortly after the system was installed, but one phone call and the crew was out to the house to fix it. Awesome customer service! I would highly recommend US Green Energy Technologies to anyone looking for an efficient and customer friendly solar company!

I got artificial turf installed from U.S Green. The installation came out very well.
James (my rep) was very professional in guiding me all through the process and has a very good understanding of his work.

The installation was supposed to be done in 3 days but it ended up finishing in 2 weeks. It rained for a couple days in between but the contractors took up another job and I had to wait for them to be free. And all that time there was a huge pile of dirt left in front of my house which caused me problems and inconvenience for my neighbors and people in my street.

This is the only reason why they are not getting a 5 star flaw less review.

Just had US a Green install 800 sq. ft. of Synlawn 90 synthetic turf. One of the best investments I've ever made. No more watering, mowing or fertilizing. Saves me time and money. The installers did a great job and the turf looks so real. US Green had the best prices and customer service. If you're in the market for turf, I highly recommend you call US Green Energy.

We got a Quiet Cool whole house fan installed and it was a great experience the whole way. I got estimates from another company that were comparable but USGreen came out to my house to give me my estimate (instead of a phone conversation and emailed quote) and spent time talking to me. They confirmed my install appointment the day before which is nice. The switch for the fan turned out to be bad ( manufacturer problem) but they ordered a new switch and came back promptly to fix it. Their installers are super on top of things. They didn't collect my payment until after the new switch was installed and called me to make sure it was working properly. Overall very good customer service which seems to be such a rarity these days.

I highly recommend Alex and his team of consummate professionals. They got me scheduled quickly and did a clean install. I am very happy with the location of the fan controls which they put right next to my AC thermostat and the clean look of the fan intake itself. I did my research and wanted a QuietCool system to save up to 90% off my energy bill. I found US Green off the QuietCool website link under ""where to buy"". I called a number of companies and decided to go with Alex who came out the next day and gave me a free quote. I found Alex to be personable and knowledgeable. He looked at my entire energy footprint and made recommendations on how I could improve my home and increase efficiency. We looked at everything, lawn, water recirculation, attic fan and of course the whole house fan. After looking at my home Alex assured me that I would get a big bang for my buck with the whole house fan. My only regret was that I didn't do my solar with US Green. I will be calling Alex and US Green again when I get ready for my next project, a water recirculation pump.

We just had US Green install Synlawn 958 Turf. It looks great and the team that installed it were very professional, and did a great job. It looks so real. We also had them install a new Pentair Variable Speed Pool Pump. Both of these items were installed within the next week of signing the contract. We than had them remove an old whole house fan and install a new Quiet Cool Whole House Fan, and a Gable Fan. These guys are prompt, professional and reasonable. I usually don't wright reviews but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to any of my neighbors.
