Avoid Avoid Avoid... But if you do, Be Very Careful
I have install with US GREEN my solar system that never generates what they promise to do, I don't sue them because they make me sign an arbitration clause, I have to change my existing roof tiles and was an extra $5,000 more with very poor quality finish.
After the installation never get a phone call back, never got service again. is a Horror Story.

They are great on Price and solar system Install , great workmanship, I'd give them a 5. BUT, after the sale they forget you , even after several attempts to contact for help, that I give them a 1. I would also be cautious on any window install they offer to handle as part of the deal, call some else for that.

We have had our solar since December of 2016 and have been very happy with the performance. In 2017 we were only billed for the connection to SCE and usually generated excess power. We even got a refund check about 1 year after it was installed from SCE. YES I would hire Alex to help me again and yes I would refer him to friends and family. We interviewed 10 to 12 solar companies and got the best deal and assurances/warranties (roof, maintenance and panels) from Alex. There was a small billing issue where we tried to use our home equity line to pay off the PPA using their electronic check system but since it did not go through, I was billed an additional 25.00 from US Green, I believe this was the only issue where I felt unsatisfied, other than that I was pretty happy and if that is the only hiccup, I'll take it. I haven't noticed any roof issues after a big winter...oh and one more thing, they did tell me they would take care of communications with the HOA but I ended up having to do it myself, which was easier than expected. I simply submitted the information and layout of our panels mapped out by US green and it was approved with out a problem. I do remember when the city inspector came down from the roof he informed me that it was one of the better installations he has seen. So a big job comes with lots of hiccups but I would say it was pretty smooth, Alex and his team communicate very well, my expectations were met and I did also have them install a 220v in my garage to hookup the charging station for my car. :)

Great service even after 4 years of install. To this day, they call me to let me know if a panel is having a communication error, and that's without any special maintenance contract whatsoever. Their proposed system was so close to my actual usage that I make a little bit in credits every month, which means they didn't over build or under build my system. Great service and continued customer support. Can't wait for Tesla Powerwall to be installed by them! DJ and Alejandro are very easy to work with.

When we decided to do major Green upgrades to our home we brought in 5 different companies to bid our on project. It was a large project consisting of solar, HVAC, windows and turf. After talking with all the companies we decided to go with US Green Energy, to us they seemed to be the most interested in us as family and our wants and needs as opposed to showing us a presentation not quite fitting our scenario. First in regards to pricing, as a single income family with 4 kids the budget was a very big issue for us and US Green Energy was very well positioned as far as pricing for the project. We worked with Alex Seanz as our project manager for US Green Energy. Also as a comparison shopper I especially appreciated the fact that Alex told me each product that would be used in the project before it started, this allowed me to look everything up to insure all products were up to our standards. The crew at US Green Energy was also very courteous and friendly, my wife who was home most of the time felt very comfortable around them and was also able to ask any questions she had during the project. As with any project this size there was an unforeseen issue or 2 but Alex was very transparent and quick to respond to any questions we had for these issues. His willingness to work out any issues we had I felt was one of Alex's best strengths. The work done by US Green Energy was excellent thru out the entire project. Also throughout the project if we had any changes Alex did his best to accommodate us, at one point in the project we changed our mind completely for the turf portion project and US Green Energy accommodated all our changes and still kept the budget! These upgrades have changed our quality of life at home much more then I could have anticipated now every day the house is a cool 74 degrees with a negative electric bill every month (I write this review in complete comfort while it is 100 degrees outside), the whole family is really enjoying our new backyard living space. Our stress level as a family has decreased significantly since the upgrades were completed. In a final summary I fully recommend US Energy Green for anyone's Green Needs.

Thus far we have had a really positive experience with US Green. I forget the name of the person we talked to on the phone when discussing solar options but she was super helpful and fun to talk to. If anything they made sure we didn't purchase too many panels for our own usage; it felt strange not being pushed into more and having a company ask real questions to determine what you need then not over-selling you...but I liked it!

Ajay has been super helpful also answering all of our questions and helping us get everything set up. The online dashboard is really cool, shows how much you bring in each day and what $ value it's worth which is pretty sweet.

All appointments were kept on time and they were flexible given my travel for work making appointment times more difficult to schedule. I'll update later on in 2017 once we have a better feel but thus far very happy!

I wanted to add that we used Ygrene to finance the program, a reasonable way to pay for solar if you don't have the cash out of pocket. Our electric bill is roughly $200 per month and that's with us being conservative with AC in the summer (would prefer to run it waaay more but so pricy). So for us we will recoup the cost in 7-8 years easily, then free electric for the life of panels (estimate 25-30 years)! Which is pretty crazy given that, barring some sudden change in how inflation works (haha), we'll be saving even more down the road. Even if we sell the house prior or shortly after paid off, that'll be a selling point for sure. The new homeowner gets free electric too for as long as they are there. Anyway, being financially minded myself I thought it would help some of you out there to see a few numbers associated with this. In my opinion, given all that I presented above, this is a no-brainer.

I initially checked reviews on Yelp for all the companies I was considering (looking at consensus while also reading the reviews with the understanding that it is hard to make everyone happy and not knowing the positive or negative motivation for those who are submitting the reviews). Then I also checked these companies on the Better Business Bureau web site to learn whether they had received complaints and if so how those complaints were resolved.

After my online research and my in-home meetings with four companies, I decided to contract with U.S. Green Energy Technologies. While definitely not the largest or oldest (most established) solar company in San Diego, I was impressed by the ""genuineness"" and energy exhibited by Alejandro and the diversification of the company. Alejandro is the owner of the company and not a salesman like the other representatives with whom I met. He made me feel valued and never rushed, giving me as much time as I requested whether in person, via emails, or over the phone to respond to all my numerous questions. When we met some of the representatives from other companies made me feel like they were in a hurry for me to make decision by letting me know that there were other scheduled appointments which highlighted that the compensation they received was based upon commissions.

U.S. Green was very easy and gracious to work with and they met all their promises including critical installation and inspection dates for my system with 16 solar panels. Deadlines were met in spite of the challenges associated with December rain by working longer days and weekends. Plus I received quick responses to my inquiries even after the installation was completed and final payment was submitted. They delivered and I highly recommend!!

This company hands down beat several quotes we had received for solar panels. They also worked with us to get an efficient pool pump and whole house fan which also reduced our overall usage so we wouldn't have to buy quite as many panels. We've almost had the solar for about a year now and our energy costs are averaging $50/mo as opposed to $500/mo.
