Absolutely a terrible experience. They were recommended by someone in my insurance agent's office, later turns out she is related to one of them, and at first they had a little trouble getting my quote to me. Then that guy had a family issue so another jumped in to assist. Things finally started rolling after that. Met a rep at the house, went over what I was looking for. We are having to sell my folk's house after moving them into assisted living and needed some repairs done.
Getting an itemized quote instead of a lump sum was worse than pulling teeth. Finally got that and decided to proceed, mostly because I trust my insurance agent. It went down hill from there. They were over a week late starting. Then at least 80 percent of EVERYTHING they touched had to be redone or just, I don't know, COMPLETED! It was the most frustrating experience I have ever had in over 30 years of dealing with various different contractors. They were sending me an invoice and asking for money before they had even completed everything they were charging me for, much less done it correctly. They even had to totally re-strip and stain and finish the front door because Mark, THE BOSS, decided to use some funky red stain he had laying around. The workmanship was even worse than the color. The tape and bed guys were ok, painters had to redo almost everything, the outside repairs all had to be redone except the brick, THAT GUY WAS AWESOME! My realtor was even very impressed. About the THIRD time we went over the chimney, I finally asked the guy if he knew what I thought it looked like. He asked, I told him,"" it looks like work done by somebody who doesn't give a s$!%."" This was after 3 weeks of me riding him like a rented mule of poor workmanship. I will never, WOULD NEVER, use these guys. I live a 4 hour drive away from the house and had to make 4 trips to get stuff fixed, and my nephew was living there to keep an eye on it.

US Certified Contractors was not interested in our roofing repair apparently. They came over and inspected the roof that was leaking in two places. Roof was in good condition, except the two leaks. Two areas of the shingles were identified to be replaced to solve the problem. But it was a job of less than $1,500. A verbal ""ballpark"" from the estimator that came over was all I could get out of them. I could not get a formal quote so that we could proceed with the repair. Like many roofing contractors, if the job is a repair that is not a whole roof, or a size able area of replacement, they apparently were not interested. After three follow-up phone and conversations and an e-mail, I went elsewhere. I think the ""roof repair"" angle is targeted as a hopeful opportunity to replace a roof, not repair one.
