They completed a new roof and fence for me after the hurricane. They are very professional and prompt. Did a great job at a very reasonable price. The owner is very responsive and professional. Paula was always very polite and quick to respond also! Definitely recommend!!

I used Upper Hand Roofing & Construction for a Total Rebuild after the February 2021 Freeze. They are absolutely the best. Very Respectful and Professional Team.

I called Upper Hand Roofing on the 10th of Aug and requested a quote. Josh came out the next day and took measurements and explained the process. I received what Upper Hand Roofing called a ""14 day quote"" on the 12th of Aug. Thats where the problem started. I returned the signed, legally binding contract on 19th of Aug. well within their 14-day window. I was then informed that the legally binding contract was not going to be excepted because they had made a mistake. The cost was now going to be more than double the original bid. From $739.00 to $1504.00.

The following is the email I received from Josh at Upper Hand Roofing:

""Hey Krist, I have attached the updated proposal. The signed proposal that was sent in was denided by management. Please review the updated proposal. Thank you, Joshua Shaffer-Territory Manager Upper Hand Roofing"".

I would hope that UHR would honor the signed legally binding contract but I'm not holding my breath. My hope is that, by writing this review, consumers will be forewarned and shop elsewhere.

We hired Upper hand for our very challenging, complete redo of our Queen Anne 1901 Galveston house. After a bit of a rocky start because none of the crews would help us remove the asbestos (original) roof, but once it was finally removed, they were patient, fast and did a good job. I now have the AWESOME roof of my dreams.

Still waiting on a quote for an estimate done over a week ago. That's also after calling a second time asking for it. I shouldn't be the one having to go beg for a quote so some other company will get my business. I don't think it's too much to ask for. Disappointing honestly.
UPDATE: Yeah, still never got the quote. I ended up going with another company that actually cared. Wouldn't recommend Upper Hand whatsoever.

Upper Hand Roofing did a great job from start to finish. Richard and Jared came to speak/inspect our roof. We had a slight discoloration in the ceiling. After an inspection of the roof Jared clearly explained what he found. I'm no roof expert so I didn't understand all of it, Richard and Jared sat down with a diagram and explained more in-depth what the issue was. They were upfront about everything and most important, they made me feel comfortable. I don't allow strangers in my home and while my husband was present I felt no discomfort. Richard helped us assess the situation and gave us several different options along with the positive and negatives of each option. Our roof was fixed that weekend! I would recommend Upper Hand Roofing to my friends and family. Richard also suggested I call every year for routine inspection at no charge.

Devon and his crew came up and helped us put our lives back together after Hurricane Harvey. He handled everything including the permits. They did the drywall, some demo, completely remodeling the kitchen and all the finishing touches. We were back in our home within four months and we could not be happier!
