Universal Builders Co came to do a roofing project on the annex of my garage. The rep decided that I needed my garage done too. He gave me a ridiculous price that I wasn't going for. He made a call on speaker phone and the supervisor stated that I would be attached to an ongoing project and then the price was cut in half. I agreed and they came out and began working. On the 2nd day a new crew came. They began to demolish my garage and annex. The following day the rep came to my home again with his boss and I was told that I had more damage than they originally thought. Their crew created the damage! They made a giant body sized hole in my annex. Again, they tried to quote a ridiculous amount and then again with the speaker phone call and the price was significantly lower. They try to get me financed through a company and the finance charge was more than the cost of repairs. I did the 5 business day cancellation and now discover that I have daylight all throughout my garage! They removed the shingles and made a huge mess of everything! They have the audacity to say that I must pay for the work that was done. The workers even brought a dog with them and it was running around in my yard without my permission. They had music blaring as they worked. They just opened my gate and came in and never said one word to me.

DO NOT D O BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY IF YOU KNOW WHAT'S GOOD FOR YOU!!!!!!

Very unhappy with the ""after the roof"" was replaced. Problem areas shared with the boss on the job. Agreed that these issues would be fixed. Then all responses to my inquiries ignored.

With the PR man, David, unresponsive to my communications, the rating dropped. The men who did the labor, GREAT. I even reported that a ladder was left.

Wish I could say we had great service, unfortunately that was not the case. It started ok, then downhill very fast. Our roofing estimate went from 35k to 26K which was nice, BUT, after tearing off the old shingles, Tony came and gave us estimate on wood replacement which tacked on an additional 20k. We had no choice but to pay it, our roof was exposed, our estimate from Tony stated all wood would be replaced, was not the case. The wood delivery i saw was not 20k worth. We received no paperwork on our project, no permit was never posted. I kept finding dry rot issues that the played off as paint chips with really made us feel like we didn't know what we were talking about. Before the torch down was done, I kept telling them it was dry rot, well my concerns were never addressed, they told me since torch down already happened, they had to take the rotted wood out and fill with bondo. I was not happy. Guess they figured the could get things by us as we were females. Thier bondo work when they came back was crap, nothing was smoothed out as they stated, looked like they just threw it up thier. Im still finding dry rot issues. We were supposed to have no interest and no payments for year, well Tony apparently didn't give us the correct forms to fill out, we found out when we got our first bills from mosaic and Benji. Plus our interest was calculated daily, which no one wanted to resolve for us. Will never do business with Universal Builders, EVER

This company is very fast, responsive, responsible and has great quality. they helped me with a new roof and provided me with a warranty certificate at the end of the job. highly recommend.

Exceptional service with Universal Builders. I knew this team would do a good job after doubting them halfway through the process. They were diligently, professional and respectful. Thankfully, they managed to not only live up to their word but also sent a Warranty certificate and came out during a rainy day to help fix whatever needed additional fixing. (Still working on this issue)

We had some tiles painted and replaced, we also had to pass city inspections and we had deadlines that were missed but managed to have the appraiser not doc us for an unfinished roof because we were working under contract with Chris and his team. Thank you. Much appreciated.

Was very nervous when it came to my first ever big project , but the PM Michael B was great! He helped me really understand why I needed to get work done with winter time creeping around the corner. Saved more than i thought I would with Universal! Would definitely recommend.
