A Jackson, MS native, Jon C. McCoy, Sr. went to high school at Jackson Academy, Murrah, and Callaway. Having resided in the Jackson area for more than 50 years, he graduated from Callaway High School in 1980. Jon Sr. has three children: Mary Drew, Cody, and Jon Clark McCoy, Jr.

Jon Sr. is licensed as a contractor by the State of Mississippi. He is also a licensed residential builder and has almost 40 years of experience in general contracting.
