I have used Ted from United home painting for quite a few projects : drywall & paint , a bathroom remodell, roofing and most recently a living room remodel . His prices are competitive and usually more affordable .. He has kept all our scheduled appointment and always does amazing work .. if there is every anything you aren't happy with he is willing to fix it .. He doesn't stick to just large jobs , he try's to take your vision and put it into reality .. he is also super honest .. and up front about all the costs . I will continue to use united home for my construction needs .. Great company and amazing work.. ..

Ted and the gang installed a roof for us a year ago and they were quick and efficient and the roof made it through the rainy year without an issue. Ted was a wealth of information and made several suggestions about our zeriscape project and pointed out a planter box
that a previous contractor had installed incorrectly and how it would break and he was correct.
They always showed up on time and everyone was friendly and courteous.

Suggest you have a clear cut bid- was to get two coats on the house- they only used one- no checkout on their part was done- hot water handle for under sinkin master bath was broken and not repaired. this happened as they glazed the counter tops in bathroom
They over wrenched the kitchen sink with garbage disposal as well as upstairs toilet causing two leaks
This all came to light on a recent home inspection

On the boundary line of our property, Ted and crew replaced an old fence with a long cement retaining wall, with a beautiful cedar privacy fence on top of the wall. They also replaced and improved an existing drain on our side of the boundary line.

Ted worked with both sets of neighbors in sharing the cost of the boundary line repair project; he accommodated the issues that each neighbor requested. He fostered cooperation and got the job done so that everyone was happy.

The crew started exactly on the day when they said the would; and they were on the property everyday, working 7:30 am until roughly 5:30 pm. Somehow, they were quiet enough, too. Today we have a clean, up to code, straight wall, straight fence, a new replacement drain, and a lovely wood smell everywhere. No hassles. Five stars.

I called Ted to install our baseboards and door casing. I realize this was not a big job but Ted treated me as his top customer with courtesy and respect. We went through our options and agreed upon a price.
Ted remained in contact with me throughout the job keeping me up to date with the schedule. His workers showed up on time and were also very courteous and respectful while in my home. They kept all of their areas very clean as well as the work area they had set up outside.
For our future projects, I will not hesitate calling Ted first.
Also a huge plus, he is licensed with insurance. So many guys are out there working without the proper insurance and if something goes wrong, you the homeowner will pay the price.

We were fortunate to find Ted while he was working on another project in our area. Our church needed new flooring in the kitchen and hallways & Nursery School office. We had called other contractors prior to finding Ted, only one came out and did not seem interested in our project never returning calls. Ted and Robert came out as promised and offered good advice on appropriate materials, laminate for the Nursery School office and halls to match an adjacent meeting space and a plank vinyl for the kitchen. The estimate was complete and very fair for the amount of work involved in the removal of old flooring and laying new floors as well as installing new baseboards.

In the meantime our church desperately needed a new roof. Due to Ted's professionalism we requested a bid on the project. Again, Ishmael and Ted arrived when promised and their bid was the best by far and included details other bids did not. This project was crucial and we felt best to go forward with it first. Ishmael Sr. & Jr. and the rest of the roofing crew were very flexible in working around various groups using the facility to avoid excessive noise. They were always on time and worked efficiently throughout the job. Our sanctuary roof was not an easy design to complete with numerous columns but they worked hard to ensure the job was done right. We were also very impressed with the thoroughness of clean up after the job. We highly recommend them and have done so to others who inquired about a roofing contractor.

We were so pleased with Ted and his team that we arranged to have the flooring replaced a few weeks later. Robert and his crew were again efficient and professional and completed the job in two days in order for there to be no disruption for our Nursery School. The Nursery School office presented many challenges as furniture was attached to the floor requiring precision in laying the laminate. We would highly recommend them to anyone in need of new flooring.

Having a church campus over 65 years old we are in constant need of repairs and maintenance. Ted would be the first one we call when such a need arises again that volunteers cannot handle. Again, many thanks to Ted, Robert, Ishmael Sr., Ishmael Jr. and all the team! We feel very lucky to have found United Home Painting & Roofing and would highly recommend.

Ted, replaced the roof on our home in the South Bay 5 years ago and did a great job. We needed a new roof for our apartment building in Santa Monica. We had some interior damage also and his guys replaced drywall, patched and painted. He was quick to provide a quote and his guys did excellent work at a good price. I won't hesitate to recommend Ted or use him again.
