We worked with Peter & his team after moving into our new home in the Sunset and discovering after a winter of heavy rain that our roof had a lot of small leaks and was overdue for replacement. Despite being very busy with the heavy rain, Peter responded quickly and gave us a good quote, his fair, thorough, & organized assessment stood out compared with other roofing providers so we went with him fairly quickly. A few months later during the summer he & his team replaced the roof within a week, working quickly & efficiently. During the replacement he discovered some water damage that he quoted to repair at a very reasonable price. He also proactively suggested we integrate solar panel stanchions since he knew we were planning on getting solar. We were very happy with the resulting roof & experience.

Our roof has a lot of small clay tile detail areas that are detached from the main roof. The following winter we saw some remaining small leaks and let Peter know. He again responded quickly and was able to discover the leaks in these smaller areas and patched them in a few hrs. After that, no leaks and now we have a relationship with Peter that we're grateful for to keep the roof maintained over the long haul.

UL Roofing recently completed my roof replacement in DC for our rental. Working in DC is extra difficult, iykyk. UL Roofing is by far one of the most responsive and communicative contractors I've worked with to date. Their price was competitive to competitors. One of the biggest troubles with working with construction is communication with contractors.

What stood out is Peter's (owner) honesty. He was very transparent as far as scheduling, concerns about unforeseen conditions, impacts to occupants, and willingness to help out. He offered to help with any interim leaks from the old roof due to weather conditions and scheduled work. He even followed up a few weeks after the work was completed to see if we have any issues.

I would definitely recommend UL Roofing and would for sure use them again for other roofing needs. Get the quote and commit early, as it's always surprising how many people need roof work!

We interviewed several roofing companies to replace the existing flat portion of our roof along possible shingle replacement. Peter was very timely, knowledgable and professional. I had many questions and Peter answered all of them via email. His reply times were excellent. We also wanted to consider replacing our center patio corrugated cover with a skylight as well as the one over our bathroom light well. The posted pictures on yelp let us know that he was very familiar with this type of addition to our center patio. The completed project did not disappoint. Peter and his team cleaned up at the end of each day.

The completed center patio skylight needed extra ventilation as well as an assessment with morning mist water getting through the frame. Peter was very responsive to this and contacted the fabricator of the skylight to assist. Another timely response.

The cost was competitive to other folks we interviewed. It was expensive but his work provided 3 ply bitumen system vs other's 2 ply system. You get what you pay for.

Peter has definitely earned my trust. It is hard to find a good trust worthy roofing company. UL Roofing has earned this trust with my family and I. I would recommend UL Roofing to anyone needing any roofing work.

Peter and his team did a repair in the past which held during this past winter's storms. But we had some new problems. He assessed our needs for repairs to add a skylight over the lightwell and flashing & molding where there were new leaks, gave a reasonable bid, and was able to squeeze in this small job in between the many full roof replacements they're doing in the area.

This winter's storms finally brought an end to the life of the old tar and gravel roof, with mission tile sections, in my San Francisco home. I contacted half a dozen roofers, of which UL Roofing was the most professional and thorough in analyzing the situation. Peter came personally, identified deficiencies in the old roof, and provided a thorough and fair estimate for the work. As it turned out, unrelated and unexpected circumstances put the project on hold before it could begin, but Peter was wonderfully understanding.

I got an estimate from Peter on a new roof, and he was honest in telling me that I did not need to replace the roof now, even though it's 25 years old. His bid also included some less expensive options that would save me money without compromising the life or integrity of the roof.

I decided to replace the roof anyway because I'm installing solar panels, and used another roofer mainly because of timing (Peter could not get to me in time for the solar installation). However, I was very impressed with Peter's honesty, professionalism, and responsiveness to my numerous questions.
