Recommended Customer Reviews
Great communication & the quality of work that they provided me was really great! I'm glad theirs great companies put their still doing their best for their customers!
We hired TX Load up to remodel our garage and then later decided to remodel our shed. So they did the shed first and then the garage.
Richard seemed to know what he was talking about, was friendly and responded quickly. He also told me he was an electrician. We needed to make sure things were to code and done by a professional. He assured me he could do it all and to call him with any concern he would work it out for us.
My first mistake was giving him a 50% down on the garage before they started.
They wrote up the estimate for the shed and the porch. We needed to repair it too. It was way more than we wanted so we opted not to do the porch and agreed to a price for the shed.
We explained to him why we needed a 3/4inch floor over the subfloor. We also asked them to use particle board for the walls over the insulation and clean the subfloor because the shed had been rat infested, hence why we asked them to clean it up and remodel it; secure it to keep the rats out.
They didn't clean the floor bought 1/2 inch floor and drywall because they said it was cheaper. My husband happen to catch it. They lied about cleaning the floor. Since my husband is nicer let than me, he allowed them to use the dry wall for the second floor walls. They did a terrible job caulking. Bubbling the caulking all over and cutting the dry wall making huge spaces between each piece. Cut the particle board crooked throughout.
They did up pulling up the subfloor, putting the 3/4 inch floor in and the 1/2 inch floor on top that they originally bought.
They never covered the insulation around the very top of the shed. Left the insulation sticking out. It took them almost 3 weeks to finish.
They left their mess in the yard.
They let us use their dumpster to throw our trash away but when it was full waited days to bring it back, leaving trash in our yard. In the end never came back with it.
Would lie to our faces about it and other things they said they were doing but until we called them on it, they didn't fix it like the flooring and walls
Found out later Richard is not an electrician. Lied about that too.
For the majority of the remodel, he had one guy there who only had cabinet making experience. Richard ""the General Contractor"" rarely showed up after promising to be there on multiple occasions.
He also said he had experience doing epoxy flooring. Our garage floor sprinkles are uneven mounds throughout and the epoxy was cheap and barely covered them. Super unprofessional look. My husband bought the quality kind of epoxy and they went over it a third time but put too much in some areas. it settled in puddles. Looks green in those areas versus blue. They did a super unprofessional job. Because they promised a big crew but only 1 person showed up most days the project took over a month and we had our equipment in our yard for an extra 3 days waiting for the floor to dry. It also rained during that time.
It's been 2 weeks since they put in the AC splitter and it is already out. TX Load Up promised a lifetime warranty and now won't answer our calls for a replacement or repair. They are totally ignoring us.
They get a zero review. Lack of communication, lying and unprofessional work. Beware!
