I've had a great experience with Bob and turnkey painting! They did a full remodel of our master bathroom and they did a fabulous job, we love it so much and they worked very hard. We hired them again to replace the flooring upstairs and to rebuild a cabinet unit in our kitchen. Again had a great experience. Bob is easy to communicate with and works quickly and efficiently.

Completely agree with everyone else's reviews to stay away from this company. Completely disappointed in the work done and the high cost of the painting. It seemed like a rushed job when I spent nearly $7k to get my house inside painted. Wall sockets were painted over, paint was splattered on the floor, many areas looked sloppy and they dumped paint in my front yard and killed the grass. Also, when we thought the work was done they called and said they needed to apply another coat of paint costing me $700 when we had already agreed upon a price before starting. I only used his company because my realtor lined them up, I should have trusted my gut and chosen someone else!

Turnkey painting and remodeling - Bob Dimon
The job started on May 8. I have not seen Bob since June 5, 2023. I paid him over $40,000 (first two payments of 5) for a major remodel. The remodel is far from finished and the completed work is shoddy. Photos: https://tinyurl.com/2vv32c8k I often felt intimidated by Bob. I backed down whenever I pointed out something was done incorrectly and he pushed back. The only thing that got fixed was one incorrectly hung door (there are a few) and only after I sent him photographic evidence. Prior to the photos, Bob told me his guy is pro with decades of experience and I don't know how to hang a door. (Always take photos.) On June 5, I asked Bob to correct a wall by removing a pipe that was in the wall and rehanging the drywall. He said he would. I stood there while he gave his guy instructions in English. I left the room. When I returned, Bob was speaking to the guy in Spanish. I went to the house at the end of the day, the wall was rehung and the pipe was still there. The wall is a total disaster. I asked Bob why the pipe wasn't removed. Bob said he changed his mind. I think Bob lied, and he is offended that I said he lied to me. We got into a battle of wills. I refused to let him start any new work. He whined about me using him and throwing him and his guys to the curb like trash. On June 6, he told me he already bought paint. He refused to provide copies of any invoices, but I got a copy of the paint invoice myself. The paint was purchased on June 7, more than 24 hours after I told him he was not painting my house. Major issues: Said he would remove the pipe and didn't. Refuses to paint walls with a roller instead of a sprayer. Refuses to let me choose the paint brand even though it's written into the contract. Bob's crew installed R-15 batt insulation that they found on site in the attic. Wrong and wasteful. Has to be redone. Thankfully, there wasn't too much leftover from the walls. Refuses to provide invoices. Doesn't appear to have a plumber and an electrician. Instead, he has a mechanical guy who is a terrible plumber. Nothing the ""plumber"" did is correct. Bob can be really ugly when cornered. See his email. Used a cheaper and inferior drywall than agreed. Not even moisture resistant in the bathroom and laundry room. Finally, even though his crews did not finish one job and there are many things that need to be fixed, Bob (nice guy that he is) offered to walk away without putting a lien on my house if I would give him another $15K on top of the $42K he has already been paid. Hire this guy at your own risk. Take lots of photos.

Ghosted me. I was so excited to work with this group, and it was going to be the first time my husband and I hired a contractor. Bob Dimon came over to our house and had so much useful information and suggestions, we ended up walking through the whole house instead of focusing on the job we originally wanted and could afford. That's why this really sucks - Dimon got us visioning a dream.
Back to the beginning - I'm a naturally curious person and I work in the design industry, so I put together a questionnaire that I planned to give all the GC's (general contractors) being interviewed. It was a combination of my own questions with questions I found online. After receiving a quote for everything in our house, I sent him the questionnaire, and after waiting for a reply received this message: ""Yes, I got it. and I have one question, and one question only. Where did you get this questionnaire?""
That was the last time Dimon or anyone from Turnkey Painting spoke to us. I emailed and would wait a week before reaching out again, I called and left voice messages. I can't say why they might treat us this way, because they simply won't speak to us. I can't imagine conducting a business so based on personal offense (and I meant absolutely no disrespect towards his experience as a contractor by sending him questions, I did so only because you should always get to know someone you enter a contract with. Again, I understand I am naturally inquisitive.)
I am baffled at the lack of professionalism shown in our relationship, and only hope that they may see this feedback and resolve whatever bitterness caused this divide. Heartbroken, because all of his advice and solutions for our home were outstanding, but ignored what we were saying we were comfortable with at the time. We wanted two windows replaced, and we received a blanket quote to replace every single window in our house.
Deeply hoping this is a misunderstanding, but until they reply to any of our many emails, this is all I have to go on.

Hired them to do an outdoor painting job but all I got were re-schedules twice then a no show on the third time. I gave up and I never heard from them again.......... nothing.

I paid Turnkey $2000 to faux paint my bedroom several years ago. I later decided to paint the adjoining hallway to match the bedroom. After I called, Bob (I think that was his name) came out and said he would email me an estimate. I also needed an estimate on other projects. After not hearing back from him, I called and text but no response. I finally called Rolando who I had dealt with in the past, and after speaking with him, he promised I would receive an estimate. It has been over 3 months and I still have not gotten a response. I finally had to get the work done by someone else. I'm not sure if the project was too small or what the reason was. I had used them twice in the past and they were paid. In fact, I was charged $2000 for the bedroom but was quoted $1800. I would not recommend this company!

Exterior house painting. Absolutely the rudest owner. He refused to answer questions or even return calls after he received payment. He tried to charge extra money for something he decided himself. His estimate was way under what I was charged. His painter and office staff were very nice but the boss is just a huge disappointment. He couldn't even answer the simplest question when I did finally connect with him. He ended the call before I could ask another question. I know more about construction and painting than he does. He is all about getting your money.

The work was completed the end of March 2017. We waited until 6 weeks after their work was completed to post this EXCEPTIONAL review!!! EXCEEDED our expectations! Had a kitchen updated: granite, cabinets, lighting, paint, tile...the works. You won't find a better value for this quality of work! Romero was the best painter, Sergio was the best cabinet maker & trim finisher you will ever find and Greg's crew did the plumbing, tile and lighting ----- Very special! My wife and I are delighted. We highly recommend Turnkey and will certainly use them again! Five stars! Thanks Bob!

I would give them 0 stars if I could. We had them in our house twice to install tile. We were assured that the tile would be completed by ""their best guys"" and it would be done in 4-5 days. 19 days later we still had improperly installed tile. We had a third party inspector come out and give us a review. The owner of Turnkey accused us of persuading the reviewer to put what we said down. I would NEVER recommend these guys. Do not trust their BBB rating either. We had the owner come out and admit the job was screwed up, he would send his new ""best guys"" and still the work was not done correctly. They hit our fridge while moving things around and accused my wife of putting it there before their work. Once we asked for a refund for the horrible tile job, the owner not only refused but become arrogant and extremely difficult to work with. Unless you want someone in your house 5 times longer than expected, incomplete work and no chance for a refund but a ""hey we screwed up let us have another chance"" run in the other direction and NEVER pick this company for this work. I wish we could take back ever hiring them and trusting Bob.

I had a very good / excellent experience with Bob and Angie at Turnkey. We were selling our $1.2M house in Bellaire, and we had a contract all ready, and then of course came the inspections and requested repairs. First, we had to have the foundation done, and Bob suggested Allied Foundation, which did a great job and charged a fair price. Then we had a list of maybe 100 items that had to be taken care of. We were in the process of moving out of state, so I couldn't do many of the repairs. Bob and team completed the work on the first inspection report, many times coordinating subs when we weren't even home, and we ended up giving him a key to the house.
Well the jerk-offs that contracted that sale pulled out for unrelated reasons, and along came another buyer with a whole new round of inspections and another 50 or so items they wanted repaired. We were already living and working in our new location in another state. So, I just emailed Bob, and he replied almost instantly (as he always did), and stated he would take care of everything, just send the list.
He met my real estate agent the next day and went through the house and the repairs were done in I think 4 days.
Between the first buyer having us do repairs, and Houston weather, and then taking the house off the market, getting another buyer under contract, and completing another round of repairs, then yet another inspection (this round of jerk-offs called it a ""re-inspection"") , start-to finish our house was on and off the market for about 4 months. Bob stuck with me, and never gave me the slightest trouble. He was always ready to help. Angie accepted our payment easily over the phone, and a couple times I asked her to have Bob just ""go check one more little item,"" and they did that and never accepted payment until all work was done.
He is clearly capable of ALL types of repairs, from tucking a little weather stripping in (yes they actually requested us to repair that) to replacing our roof, and 150 things in between, this company is highly dependable in my experience. I can say for certain that we would not have closed with the second buyer if Bob had not been as responsive as he was, and had not done the repairs in the professional manner he did.
He uses subcontractors, and he pays them himself. He does not suspend work waiting for funding. He pays the subs and honors his word that he will not charge you until work is complete.
The prices were fair and lower than expected in fact in many cases. All repairs done were itemized with price for accounting and demonstrating completion to the buyer. He even sent photos.
Thanks Bob !!
