Spoke on the phone with Matt and he gave us quite a bit of information. I scheduled an appointment with him for Monday at 4 PM and he was a no-show and did not call. Called his office later that day and rescheduled an appointment for the next day at 4 PM. Another no-show and no call.

I also note that their showroom on S. Beretania is supposed to be open until 5 PM on weekdays. I drove there on Wednesday or Thursday of last week, arriving at 4:15. Their front door was locked. We hung about a few minutes then left. We then saw someone inside turn off the ""OPEN"" sign before 5 PM.

Very unprofessional. Windows are too expensive for me to consider dealing with a company that cannot perform rudimentary customer service.

Finished changing most of the windows in our home. Took 5 days for Junior and Ryan to complete but everything was excellent. They continuously kept us advised on status and showed us what they were doing. At completion, they took special time showing all aspects of each window. Quality of all is excellent and Matt did a great price. Businesses like this build trust and I feel they will be here if ever needed. This was shown with the response on concerns about a prior shower installation. It was fixed right and no charge even though it was not an installation problem. Matt treats a person right and all workers make sure everything is done right.

Matt from Tropical Wholesale blows the competition away in terms of price and what he includes to replace vinyl siding on your home. He makes sure the job is done right and doesn't charge extra for the the labor that is required for siding, eves, or gutters. Great price and great quality are hard to find. I highly recommend Tropical Wholesale!

Don't go anywhere else for vinyl siding! Matt the owner provides the best prices in town with firm contract terms on work to be completed. We got quotes from Windows Hawaii and Diamond Head Windows that were thousands of dollars higher, and they add more costs when they install if ""issues"" come up. Matt is definitely the most knowledgeable in Hawaii on vinyl siding and does high quality work!

Mike came to do an estimate and like another reviewer mentioned took no measurements, talked about tropical wholesale being the best with a lifetime warranty but then went on to say that it is a ""voluntary"" warranty, meaning you have to call them and be cordial and not yell at them or the will not help you or the problem. He was cocky and wanted a contract signed that day otherwise the price goes up.

Excellent company. Had my roof soffit support strip temporary separated 1-inch on one side. Called Matt and he immediately dispatched his workers to secure it. While on site, workers inspected the soffit condition around my entire house. Tropical installed my house soffit 3-years ago and provided this service. I also had my entire house windows installed by Tropical Wholesale. Crew did great job and better yet, they cleaned up all the mess. If you want things done right, I highly recommend Tropical Wholesale.

Mike came to do an estimate that ended with I don't have a brochure for you to study; here's my 40 minute power point presentation; I don't measure windows; here's my estimate; BUT I do have a copy of the contract we can sign because if I come back my price will go up! He spent more time telling us what they don't do (like the competition) rather than what they can do. I asked him several times to stop and sell me his product. He did not like that at all. He did not look at a single window in our home and said that they were so good that he could be cocky and didn't need our business.

His father, Matt, the owner, called soon after he left wanting to know how Mike did. Interesting, right?! He acknowledged that they were the best and been in business for so many years. Matt offered to come out and do another estimate. He didn't seem to hear that his son's cocky sales technique was a turn off. I told Matt that it even makes me uncomfortable to have anyone from his company come back to my home.

After getting an estimate for replacing some of our windows, we decided to also have Tropical Wholesalers do our roof (fix and re-roof). First, Ron came in to fix some of our damaged eaves. Then Charlie and his crew did the roof and solar replacement. They did a quick and awesome job. We were so pleased that this was done before the high winds and heavy rains in December. We stayed nice and warm, under our new roof.
Our windows took longer to install. We decided to have the windows installed after the holidays. Johnny and CJ came in to install 7 windows. Matt had already talked to us on the difference between retrofitting and window construction. After seeing the difference in my windows in my bedroom/on suite, I'm glad we went with Tropical Wholesalers. They made our room look like new construction. The before and after was unbelievable. We did have a problem with one of the windows; kitchen cottage. We called Matt and even went down to the office and spoke to Ann. Ron came and fixed the window. He did professional ""magic""; not only is it functional, but aesthetically pleasing to the eyes.
I am pleased with the job and know that Matt is a man of his word; integrity and knowledgeable.
I am enjoying the windows; it makes the room feel cooler and definitely easier to manage (then cranking the jealousies).

My mother purchased windows and sliding glass doors from this company a few years ago, for the entire house. Within a year two of the sliding glass doors developed a residue between the window panes that is impossible to get to without destroying the doors. Despite talking to Matt MULTIPLE times, several years later we have had no resolution. He reassured her many times that the problem would be fixed and the doors replaced, but nothing has been done. We are so frustrated that our next stop will be the Better Business Bureau.

Had our bathrooms remodeled over 2 years ago. The difference was like night and day. The bathrooms still look like new new with minimal maintenance.
Their designs are unique and very appealing to the eye.
If you are looking to remodel you have to visit Tropicals showroom on Beretania before you do anything.
Ask for Matt or Mike, they will make the experience very enjoyable.
