Recommended Customer Reviews

Summary: My experience with Triforce Contracting has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. The project we hired them for has been marred by delays, aggressive communication, and an unwillingness to provide clear timelines or plans for completion. We have what our neighbors call ""the haunted house"" on the block as the loose and torn Tyvek paper dangles freely in the wind.
Details: We initially hired Triforce to complete a significant addition above our detached garage. The project has faced continuous delays, which were attributed to various factors, including issues with design and architecture. While some of these delays may have been understandable, we overcame the design hurdles in February 2024 and over 5 months later, Triforce has still been unable to make any significant progress towards getting the addition closed before the 2024 hurricane season despite multiple requests. We are waiting for windows, roof, and doors to finally close our project before continuing with the project.
Relations quickly deteriorated summer 2023 after demoing our garage roof, quickly putting up framing, and then demanding the following via email, ""...the project has increased by $24,300.00 which will have to be added to the remainder balance on the project and to be paid out in three equal draws of $8,100.00 each."" He stated materials increase as justification. This is on a fixed price contract with no materials increase clause. When I questioned him about his demand he became aggressive and unprofessional.
During a recent phone call with the Triforce's owner, myself, and the Hillsborough County Consumer Protection Services, we attempted to establish a clear timeline for the completion of the project. We also requested specific documentation, such as proof of window orders. Unfortunately, Triforce refused to commit to any deadlines or timelines, despite acknowledging the urgency of the situation. Their response suggested a lack of responsibility for meeting project milestones, which is concerning given the amount of time and money already invested.
Our attempts to maintain regular communication and request updates have been met with resistance. For example, Triforce's owner expressed frustration with our requests for written updates and declined to provide a written plan of action. This lack of transparency has only exacerbated our concerns about their ability for Triforce to complete the project.
Furthermore, when we raised concerns about the deteriorating condition of the construction site, including the damage caused by rain and water intrusion, and standing water around the construction site due to lack of rain gutters, the response was dismissive. The protective Tyvek, which was supposed to shield the structure, has largely been destroyed and blown away, leaving the wood exposed since it was installed over 14 months ago. Instead of addressing this urgent issue, Triforce's representative seemed more focused on shifting blame and minimizing their responsibility.
Other red flags:
1. Multiple project managers: At least 4 project managers have come and gone from the company since project inspection.
2. Internal company strife: The two listed owners are breaking apart for reasons unknown. See Sunbiz.org and look at the amended annual reports adding and removing Justin Siegfried.
3. Email address Changes: The owner has begun communicating under an email [email protected] not [email protected]. There has been no introduction to the new company.
4. Another client's project in the same condition: I reached out to another client of Triforce in another country, only to find out they too are waiting for windows, roof and doors. This is the same place we are and indicates we are not an isolated incident.
Conclusion: Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Triforce Contracting. Their unwillingness to commit to deadlines, lack of transparent communication, and dismissive attitude toward legitimate concerns have made this project a stressful and unsatisfactory experience. We are deeply disappointed and hope that no one else has to endure a similar ordeal.
