Just discovered that they roofed over rotten wood. I saw ripples after the new roof but they refused to return. They are hit and run service.

I would NEVER recommend this company LITERALLY NEVER!
It took two weeks before they came out and did the roof repair. I received an invoice for the balance via email the same day. There were still holes in the roof so I responded to the invoice email saying they needed to come back out and actually fix the problem. The secretary called and said someone would call to make that appointment. Twenty nine days later I got a call with a thousand excuses as to why they hadn't call me back ( message got lost, one employee went on a cruise and thought the other guy was going to handle it, etc)
When I Met with the guy who was supposed to fix the problem, I got out of my car and he tapped his watch at me even though I was two minutes EARLY for the appointment. The guy flat out told me they hadn't completed the repair and didn't know why but that they would come fix it and that they would call me . I asked if I should hold my breath waiting for that call. Finally another man called and said his workers had done the repairs I had paid for ( I promise you I didn't ASK to pay $800 for holes to remain in the roof) and implied he was doing me a favor by doing extra work to fix the holes himself and I got an invoice for the balance within an hour with zero mention of even giving me a discount.
After a face to face meeting two weeks later, where one employee raised his voice to me, I was told that I would have to ""pay the bill within three days, else they would take a lien out on my property.""
This was my response one week later....

With much thought put into this decision, I have decided that the risk of allowing your company to come back FOR A THIRD time to fix a, in your words, ""a minor roof issue"" far outweigh the benefits of you MAYBE fixing the remaining leaks. I do not feel comfortable AT ALL having anyone from your company near me or my property.
So, if it is your company's practice and you can sleep at night knowing:
1. The work was not completed on the first attempt (you could still see daylight through the roof)
2. After I called to question those problems, it took TWENTY NINE days for anyone to return a phone call
3. Your employees were rude when they did show up
The roof began leaking again with three weeks of you coming out the second time
4. It was another SEVEN days before anyone answered my next text reporting those leaks
5. At our face to face meeting in your office, you threatened to take out a lien on my property within three days, and told me ""this meeting is over, have a nice day"" when I wouldn't allow you to go over THAT DAY although I needed to talk to my tenant first
6. During that same meeting, your employee raised his voice to me
7. This would be the THIRD time you've had to come back to complete work
8. That you've blocked my tenant from getting into his driveway with your work truck while taking pictures from the road since our meeting
9. AND THAT THE ROOF IS STILL LEAKING
Then, even though the work is still incomplete, I will pay you the remaining $435.19, in person, to end this negative experience. When is a good time to meet next week?
Their response...
""Unfortunately next week you will need to contact our attorney to pay the bill and there will be additional fees due at that point.
We do accept most major credit cards so you could also call the office and pay it over the phone to avoid the additional fees.""
I would NEVER recommend this company LITERALLY NEVER! I have pictures of the shoddy work they and the mess they left on the property and copies of all the rude emails they sent as proof.

These people recently installed a new roof on my neighbors house. It took them approx a day and a half. So far so good. However, they did a lousy job cleaning up. It was windy and stuff blew all over including across and down the street. I had debris in my back yard behind my fence, and in frot on both sides of my driveway. I can over look some of it due to the wind, however, finding 23 roofing nails in my yard is a little much. Some of which were on my front lawn on across my driveway from the job sight. Inexcusable as some nails were 3 inches long and others had bright plastic washers under the heads. Easily visible.
Not to mention that the workers didn't speak English. Sorta like the original workers that installed the crappy roofs on these houses in the first place.

I would not recommend, Serious management problems, Serious communication problems. Don't waste your time or money on a company that thinks so little of its customers!!!!

This company is very professional. Jeremy and his crew were AWESOME! Very polite, professional, and hard working. Any/All questions we had were explained to us to our satisfaction. He had to replace a board that wasn't quoted (couldn't see it because of the shingles). Jeremy took pictures on his phone and brought them down for my husband and I to look at, instead of just covering the bad board back with shingles. We truly appreciated that. We were in awe when they had finished our roof the same day. This crew worked great together. P Jeremy came back the next day to make sure we we happy with our roof and to DOUBLE CHECK to make sure the clean up was to our satisfaction. I can not say enough good things about Jeremy and his crew.

In hindsight I wish I had seen these bad reviews of Tri County rather than merely relying on Angie's List. Another waste of time, by the way as 99% of their vendors don't respond to inquiries.
Don't waste your time or your money on a company that doesn't care about customer service or integrity. Shannon is a bully who threatened to put a lien on my house and implied that I lied about calling his office and employee. Even when I produced evidence of the calls from my phone bill, he basically accused me of lying again and warned me about ""slandering"" his company. I'm guessing that this happens often.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR ROOFING JOB I am writing this out of pure frustration with your company. And there are several poor reviews of your company on yelp and the web in general.
Last october you did an insurance job for us. I only called you because Micah was an acquaintance. Had I known the poor job you would have done and the poor customer service you would give I would have NEVER have contracted with your company.
While your crew was putting on the roof they failed to put tarps on the roof properly during a small rainstorm. This caused several leaks and water damage inside the home. The damage was noticeable. Primarily a piece of art in our office was damaged. Thank you for ruining a family treasure given to me by my grandmother. irreplaceable. water damage to a bedroom closet. water damage to the ceiling in the family room. water damage to the kitchen ceiling. The only compensation I could finally get from you was 500 dollars. Far below what it cost to make the repairs.
Also while your employee was backing the trailer into our driveway he damaged the gate pillar at the end of our driveway. I sent pictures to you of the ""good"" piller and the damaged one for reference. It took weeks for you to send out someone to repair this and to this day it is not right. I am tired of trying to get you to fix this so I guess I am out of luck on this and will incur probably around 3-4 hundred dollars to get it fixed the right way. So let me personally thank you for all the crap you have put us through. FYI you employee that damaged the pillar tried to deny the damage he caused initially lying to me about about it until I could see brick residue on the foot of your trailer that matched the pillar. So thanks for sending an employee that would readily LIE to a customer. Not surprising though given the attitude of the owner of this company.
Another issue is that I had the estimate done and trusted you to be in line with other roofing companies. You were more expensive that three other companies by well over 3 thousand dollars for the same job and the same materials. This is the main thing that is most upsetting.
Lastly when EVERYONE in your company knew that this was an insurance claim and we were unable to pay you until the insurance company was to send the proper check to us you became VERY impatient about the balance of the bill. You threatened us with legal action and a mechanic's lien on the house. You made promises to us over the phone that you would give us the time to get the insurance screw up straightened out. You LIED to us once again and within days of the conversation you place a mechanic's lien on the house therefore causing us extreme worry and mental stress. So thank you for that too. Not to mention over a thousand dollars in your attorneys fees.
In short our opinion of you and your company is very SOUR. But having had a few conversations with your management and the verbal demeanor of your office manager I am quite certain you do not care about how we might feel about it.
So in short . Thank you for screwing over another customer. As it is obvious by several online reviews that this is an ongoing pattern with your company. I hope you enjoy the dollars you are making now in this life because I am sure you will have to answer for it in the next. Maybe every time you're out on your fancy boat and walking into your very expensive home you might think of all the people you had to hurt financially to acquire those nice things. Everyday average working folks like us. Every Time you take a bite of that fancy steak of a drink of your fancy beer I hope you choke on it with guilt. But honestly I doubt you will given the conversation we had on the phone that day all the while you knowing you were lieing to me about the situation with the insurance check and that you would be glad to let us get it resolved before you contacted your company lawyer.

So it has taken me almost a year to write this. I have always like to think the best of people... please do not use this company. I could write a lot of nasty things and show pictures of poor work and still incomplete work. They use sub contractors and those that truly work for them cover things up. I am unsure why they are still in business. I expected better quality work for the price... SAVE MONEY do not use this company.

The quality of work done on our roof was subpar to say the least. We have had several issues due to leaking from the roof that tri county roofing just replaced. Trying to get them to come out to inspect the problems let alone fixing it has been more than a headache.

I would highly recommend Tri County Roofing! They were clear cut from sale to roof completion. I didn't realize at the time they have been in Charleston for over 40 years!! Talk about peace of mind. I don't think many contractors can say that.
