Trake Construction Management, LLC in Rockwall, TX, was established as a Texas Corporation in August 1993, with one goal in mind: Customer Value. The name TRAKE originates from my sons, Travis and Blake. As they have grown, they now play active roles in assisting our clients in the competitive DFW construction landscape. I must confess, it has always been my dream to work alongside my boys and witness their growth in a family-run business.
After more than 10 years of handling storm-related claims and construction, and numerous happy clients, see our testimonials. My personal goal is to guarantee that each client, whether they have large commercial projects or smaller urban homes, receives the same meticulous attention and professionalism I would expect from any contractor I would hire for my own properties. This is where we excel and outshine our competitors.
We concentrate on storm-related insurance claims, particularly for hail and wind damage. Having over 10 years and more than 1,000 claims of experience, my team and I are among the best in the industry. From start to finish, we keep our customers informed throughout the claims process and the reroofing of their homes. We take pride in our testimonials on Google and BBB, and one word frequently used by our customers is meticulous. We hold an A+ rating and are accredited by the BBB.

James Denton with TRAKE Roofing and Construction, Rockwall, Texas said that he would repair my roof leak at 3:30 P.M. today, June 11, 2024. Well Denton, it is raining hard in Rockwall, Texas right now and the bathroom ceiling just fell in due to your making excuses for not keeping your appointment today!!! Thanks a lot! No wonder roofers are not trusted by many!

Extremely rude business owner, James Denton. Was told to ""f"" off once I requested help on a roofing job. No wonder there's only 1 yelp review for James and his business. Feel free to comment James!
I was in need of a new roof this year after my original roof began to deteriorate after 14 storm seasons. I looked at several different companies and chose Trake in the end. Was I happy?? Absolutely!!!
1. Trake is extremely professional in everything he does from initial consultation all the way through to the end of the job.
2. James had the ability to see several items that I did not notice and worked with my insurance company to get all of those items repaired.
3. Trake was always on time and did what they said they were going to do.
4. This is probably the most important part...ATTENTION TO DETAIL. I have never worked with a contractor that put this much attention to detail in any project that they have worked on for me. James (the owner) was at my house the morning after the roof was installed by himself vacuuming my yard and rolling it with a magnet for nails...not a crew member, but the owner of the company!! That is simply fantastic.
5. During the process of doing this, I had other things I needed to get done, and James recommended several of his subs to me so I could contract them to complete those jobs. All of his subs were absolutely top notch is everything that they did.
Would I use Trake again? ABSOLUTELY WITHOUT HESITATION
Would I recommend Trake to anyone? ABSOLUTELY WITHOUT HESITATION
UPDATE - 7-26-2023
After a year and a half, I decided an update to this review would add some more information to what we are seeing now in regards to what Trake installed for us.
1. As part of our install, Trake added a pair of 48V solar attic fans. Our original roof did not have them so I have no previous temperature data, but I was curious as to their performance especially in the summer when it is hot outside. In order to monitor the performance, I added some temperature sensors into my attic in 2 places (SensorPush is the brand). I also added a temperature sensor outside to get a more true measure of the outside temperature. Now it is important to note, that my roof decking is a radiant barrier type roof decking, and I do have a continuous soffit vent, so when you combine that with the airflow that the fans provide (1881 CfM), there is really good air circulation in my attic now. What I did find was pretty amazing.
- While the outside temperature was hovering around 97.8 degrees, the temperature in the attic was only on average 10-13 degrees warmer (roughly 109-110 degrees). I honestly didn't know if that was good or bad, so I broke out the infrared thermometer and took a temperature reading of my actual roof. Here is where I was amazed. The temperature of my roof at the same time externally was 146.7 degrees. I am no expert on this (I do collect a lot of data now), but the difference between the external temp and the internal temp is 35-36 degrees which is huge in my book. I am glad that Trake gave me those fans as part of the roof replacement...they are making a huge difference.
- on a side note, one other thing I did for the fans is that I bought a thermal switch from Amazon. Since the fans are solar fans, they are pretty much always on. What the thermal switch does is to basically shut the fan off if the temperature in the attic falls below 80 degrees so basically in the winter time, there is no need for the fan to run. I simply did this to extend the life of the fan (even though they carry a 20 year replacement warranty).
2. Another great result of using Trake was that he automatically upgraded our roof to a 50 year class 4 impact resistant roof. We do tend to get hail here in North Texas so I figured that it was a good idea. Fast forward to June of 2023, and we had hail falling somewhere in between the size of large eggs to just smaller than tennis balls during one particular storm. The next day, I had Trake come out and walk the roof with me. We could only find three small hail hits on the entire roof (and it is a sizable roof). We are extremely pleased with the added performance of our roofing system that we received with the class 4 upgrade.
- on a side note, right after we had our roof replaced with the Class 4 Impact Resistant shingles, we submitted paperwork to our insurance company stating that our roof was now a class 4 roof. Even though the payout to replace our roof was significant ($50k+), our overall insurance premium went down on a yearly basis after the claim was paid out due to it now being a class 4 roof.
As I stated above, If I ever need roofing or even general contracting services in the future, Trake will be my first call.
