We got our roof work done today. I think they hire contractors randomly and send them to customers locations ( this is the only explanation I can think of some other people getting good job done). In my case they never informed that work is done. They piled all the waste material in front of the house. This includes their coffee mugs and their personal waste too. They told my wife they need to step out for something for 30 mins and never showed up again. This is Friday. I am not sure if work is completed or not. I think I need to do all clean up my self. With this attitude I am also not sure whether I can trust if they finished work or not.

UPDATE:
Tony and Mike visited Monday morning as first thing and inspected everything. They also made sure that all the garbage is removed immediately. Things can go wrong but fixing them quickly shows good customer service. Thanks Tony. I appreciate.

I hired TR Construction to do my re-roofing. They started July 8, 2019 and this is their second week. I am already impressed by the work ethics, and professionalism of TR's employees, Javier and Esaias. Very respectful not only to their clients but also to the client's property as well. Almost every 2 hours, I see one of them cleaning around the perimeter of my house. It is hot outside, yet these two, Javier and Esaias, just kept on working. TR just completed my re-roofing project and it came out great! I would HIGHLY recommend this company. They have full time employees who are well taken care of, therefore these employees care so much about their work performance. Thus, the client gets great satisfaction with the completed project.

So glad I didn't see some of the unfavorable reviews first, or I might have missed the opportunity to have TR reroof my home. My experience with TR, his crew and his administrative personnel was positive in terms of professionalism, courtesy, friendliness, and going out of their way to ensure a job well done and customer (me) satisfaction. Yes, pricey compared to other quotes, but I wasn't about to take a chance with a less expensive 2-3-person crew to demo, install, and clean up in a timely manner. I've seen this kind of work drag out for 6 weeks and longer. These guys were on it like greased lightning and finished the job in the 5 working days promised; also, the install crew's foreman was all ears and understanding in hearing my questions, and all brain and professionalism in answering to my satisfaction. And whoever thought they encountered a rude person at the office must have reached a wrong number! Never anyone so polite so responsive so open to hearing and resolving all my concerns, questions, and needs as TR's office personnel.

We had TR do a total house remodel of every room, including a new roof, Solar installation, electrical panel upgrade,  plumbing re-pipe, re-stucco, and outdoor living area.  And now we couldn't be happier with what is basically a new home.   The whole team was great to work with as they took us through the whole process.   Starting with the initial estimate from Tony, the owner, it was obvious that he cared greatly about making sure that we were completely happy with the every aspect of our remodel project.  In contrast to other remodeling contractors that had slick ads, showrooms and fancy seminar presentations with videos and wine and cheese telling us how great they executed remodel projects, Tony showed me real projects he had in various stages of completion. I spent a morning driving around north county following him in his truck to his building sites to see his crews in action on in-work projects and recently completed projects.  His enthusiasm for what he does showed and is what sold me.  
So we decided to listen to our gut feel and go with TR and in the end we weren't disappointed.  That's not to say everything went perfectly with TR on our complex project.  But the key point was how well TR dealt with problems - Tony listened, worked with us, was flexible and committed to professionally resolving every issue and made sure we were happy in the end.    We pretty much had daily contact with some member of the TR team for the duration of our project, and everyone in the office was friendly, responsive, and great to work with.   The work crew of carpenters, roofers, painters, plumbers, and electricians were all conscientious pros and did quality work and many times went out of their way to do what was needed.   Thank you TR! - we love our new home.

Just had my mom's house remodeled after nothing was upgraded in 25 years. Tony came out and explained everything; since we remodeled to sell it, he said what we should do that would help sell the house and what wasn't worth doing. Honest, beautiful workmanship. Great communication, finished ahead of schedule, and were a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. Thank you Tony, Joshua, Estaban for a beautiful job. Would give 10 stars if I could.

My first impression of this company was a positive one, as the woman answering the phone was very helpful with getting me scheduled and answering any questions. I had just called to schedule estimates with two other companies before this, and she was the one that left the best impression on me - so you guys should give that lady a raise! Unfortunately, that was the end of my positive experience. The day before my scheduled appointment (which also happened to be the day after I scheduled it) I received a call asking me if they could come by several hours early since their estimator had a gap in appointments. I explained for the second time that I could not come earlier due to work, and I sensed a tinge of annoyance from the caller. The day of my appointment, the estimator was friendly and talkative, but what he had to say left me in tears. I had a smaller project requiring a wall repair and window reframing due to water damage. I had already replaced the roof above the wall, which is where the damage came from, but I now needed a team to come fix the wall itself. After the estimator did his assessment, he said he would go to his truck which was his ""mobile office"" to formulate his estimate. He returned about five minutes later and told me that the repair would cost me $10k! I was shocked! I asked for more details, and he explained that the wall was ""holding the whole roof up"" so it would be a very pricey fix. I explained that this wall was actually part of an addition to the house and that it had a completely different roofline so this wall, in no way, held up the ""whole roof"" because it didn't even exist when the house was built (Plus I had just replaced the roof above this room and I know for a fact it has its own mini-roofline) He told me that he knew what he was talking about and then proceeded to tell me that, because of my reaction, it was obviously out of my price range, so he wasn't going to give me a written estimate, which I find to be strange and dismissive. As he left, he told me that there is no way a licensed contractor would fix that wall for under $6k, and I should look into hiring a local, non-licensed handyman if I wanted to fix it for cheaper. I felt shocked and overwhelmed by this news, as this was my first estimate, so I did not know what to think. Fortunately, I had three additional estimate appointments scheduled for the following week - all licensed, bonded and insured companies with good reviews and good reputations in the San Diego community. Let me tell you - not a single one of my other estimates was over $4.5k! In fact, two of my estimates were under $3k! Elated and relieved with this news, I obviously ended up under contract with one of the less expensive companies. I'm under contract for $2.5k and TR Construction quoted me at FOUR TIMES that much! That's ludacris! I'm writing this to share my story with anybody else who may be feeling overwhelmed and shocked by over-inflated prices and false information. I encourage anybody reading this to get multiple estimates so you can make the most well-informed decision for you and your home!

Tony came by to give me a solar quote. Since our system was too small, he didn't bid on the project, but he gave me some good advice nonetheless. He seems really professional and as a general contractor, I understand their focus would be on larger projects. Appreciate the time to come out and discuss though.

Had a slow leaking 50 year old tin covered flat roof; 400 sq ft. Called TR on 12/10/2018 and Mike Sgambati, proj mgr/estimator, came out the next day. Got his detailed estimate of $3550 via email promptly 12/13/18 for tarping, tear off existing flat roof, fiberglass base sheet, smooth cap sheet, metal at perimeter, new pipe and chimney flashings, Johns Manville Dibiten modified torchdown cap sheet, and remove debris. As soon as weather permitted, TR (five guys) removed the old flat roof (3 hours) on 1/21/19 and Isias, roof installer, worked his magic 1/21 finishing on 1/23. Isias was amazing; his work is superb, and the roof leak has stopped. TR provides a 5 year guarantee. Other roofers were too busy to give an estimate or their estimates took two weeks to arrive. TR's estimate was competitive. Their office staff is very professional. Highly recommend.

We had a leak in our tile roof and when they did the estimate they also did a temporary fix without cost as there was rain in the forecast...We accepted their bid and they were able to come out before these last rains...They explained what they were doing and when I had some further questions the women in the office were very helpful. I have already recommended this company to a friend who just called for an appt!.
