I’m 41 years old. I started my roofing career at 16 in the summer months. The following summer, I continued in the same field. After graduating high school, I took on what many refer to as a ""real job."" In the years that followed, I held several of these jobs, but being young, married, and with a child at home made it tough to make ends meet. I waited until I was let go from one of these jobs after an accident. I returned to roofing while searching for another job. Before long, I realized I had a great chance and the understanding to one day equal or exceed the abilities of my mentors.
