Top Line Roofing has been repairing roofs in this region for over.
Approximately nearly half of our work involve addressing issues caused by other roofing companies. This gives us a distinct perspective when we set up new roofs, knowing how to execute properly to prevent these frequent issues that other roofers still commit.
Wayne and his family settled to the Poway area in 1991. In starting Top Line Roofing, our primary focus was in roof repairs, and through that knowledge, we gained insight not only how to fix others' oversights but also how to steer clear of them in our own services. We ventured into the roofing renewal business in 1996 and affiliated with the San Diego Roofing Contractors Association (SDRCA). Wayne subsequently served as the President of the association over the years, helping to create best practices for San Diego roofing. Right now, he is a board director of the Western States Roofing Association.
As a graduate in finance, Wayne integrates his business knowledge with construction experience and solid work ethics to form a superior roofing company that focuses on quality customer service and a knowledgeable staff. Over the years, the company has grown to manage all types of roofs, including solar roofing.

Things started off really well. I scheduled an appointment for an estimate for a roof repair. The company called two days before and again the day before the estimate to confirm the appointment. Seemed a little excessive but better to be over communicative than under. On the day oft the appointment, the estimator Jeremy called to say he was running a littlelate which I thought was no problem. Stuff happens. He identified the suspected cause of the leak, was professional, provided a verbal estimate, and promised to provide a written estimate with photos. He seemed like someone I would want to work with.
So you may be wondering why the 1 star review...well, things went way downhill from there...
Red flag #1: After not hearing back from the estimator, I reached out by email and heard no response. I figured maybe Jeremy wasn't an email person although his email address was on the card he provided.
Red flag #2: The next day, I called the main office line and the woman who answered the phone was a little cranky but hey, we all have our off days so I asked for the promised written estimate.
Red flag #3: I received a proposed contract, not the estimate I requested and without photos. Okay, well, I might as well read the contract. This is where things started going really downhill. Not a lot of detail regarding the proposed work like other estimates I've received. But the main issue was this was the MOST ONE-SIDED CONTRACT I've ever seen (and I've read, written and revised a lot of contracts in my day). At this point, I really should have run in the opposite direction but in an effort to work with them, I went ahead and marked up the proposed contract to be more equitable and reasonable to both parties and offered to discuss with the company owner. (Some of the changes benefitted then as well.)
Red flag #4, 5, 6...: A company rep Cori (spelling?) called me and said they will accept no changes, take it or leave it, and the owner is unavailable. She then mentions someone is listening in on our call -- not sure why that's the case and it is quite frankly unprofessional not to announce that at the beginning of a call. Did I also mention that Cori is beyond rude and condescending during this entire call?! But because I am apparently a glutton for punishment, I offered again to speak to the owner directly about the agreement. (I do not expect a call back.) As expected, no call from the owner, and instead I received an email indicating they are not interested in the job. Don't worry, Top Line, the feeling is completely mutual.
Totally dodged a major bullet here! I can't imagine how this company would response to any actual issue. (This was in my mind, this was a minor issue unless they had ill intent with respect to the proposed work.) Caveat emptor!!

Jeremy was fantastic!! Very professional and great customer service to boot! He showed up on time and had our roof repaired in literally minutes! Saved us just in time from the next rain. Definitely recommend and very grateful for such amazing service!

Everyone at Top Line Roofing was easy to deal with from the initial quote to the office. They were quick to come out and gave me a quote and then scheduled the job quickly. Savino and Augustine were very efficient and fixed a couple sections with missing tiles and replaced 50+ cracked tiles. I can easily recommend them to friends and neighbors and they are on my list of trusted contractors.

Great roofing company. I've been using them for years. They care about the customer and really pay attention to the small details. I had a gutter cleaning service come by and even they asked who did my roofing because it was done so well - and those guys see a lot of roofs. Highly recommend using them for your roofing needs!

Wayne and his team did an excellent job installing our 'cool roof' a couple of years ago. I am also impressed with their unmatched after-sales service.

They did what they said they would, when they said they would, at the price they said they would. The price seemed fair. Hasn't rained much yet but so far so good. They won't try to get you to replace the entire roof if you don't need it.

We called three roofing companies to estimate for a leak repair.
The first company, instead of giving me the estimate for the leak repair, they gave me two estimates. One for a half roof replacement, one for the whole roof replacement.
The second company never gave me any estimates, even though I called to follow up.
Then came Top Line Roofing, recommended by my neighbor, two doors down. Wayne took a look and gave me the estimates I asked for in about 15 minutes, right off his van. The estimates were very fair and honest. A week later, we got all of the necessary tasks done. The crews were very professional and respectful!!! They gave me good explanations of the processes and with ""Yes Sir"" conversations. I strongly recommend Top Line Roofing for all roofing projects, big or small. We are very happy with Top Line Roofing.

Our Family has used Top Line over the past 10 years. We are very impressed with their service. They recently completed a complex repair of our roof in Poway. We continue to use Top Line for both roof inspections and roofing repairs. Cory their scheduler is great to work with and the job site was very clean after the job was completed. Prior to starting the job I spoke directly with Wayne and verified the requirements for the job and the contract. I was very satisfied with tailoring our concerns with our specific contract. We will continue to use Wayne and his Team. I highly recommend Top Line Roofing

Reached out to them first due to reviews here and on next door. I called 3 times over the last 4 days, left voicemails and reached out via their website. Complete radio silence. They're either out of business or too busy with current business.
Either way, poor follow-through - I would recommend an alternative.

Called Top Line Roofing for an estimate on repairing a leaky roof. Jeremy came out and was very helpful in explaining the skylight frame was cracked and needed to be replaced as well as fixing a few other areas. An issue arose as we needed to remove four solar panels and our solar company is now out of business. Cory, the office manager, and Jeremy worked with me to help identify a solar provider, Milholland Electric, to remove and then re-rack the four solar panels once the roof repair was completed. Their customer service was great, sales was not pushy and they did everything they said they would and left the job site clean. I would recommend Top Line to anyone needed roof repairs or a new roof altogether.
